Diesel pollen...

Tonight my friend gave me some diesel pollen and my othe friend has some ECSD cuts and some pre-98 bubbas flowering. Until how late in the flowering period will the application of the pollen remain effective in producing seeds. The bubbas are about 37 days and the ECSD is like 40 days. Thanks all, I pprecite the help!

Seeds need about 3-4 weeks to mature although some might be ready in a couple weeks. Four weeks is a pretty safe bet though

It just means that you will need to wait AT LEAST 4 weeks to harvest. Where did the diesel pollen come from?

I wouldnt dilute either of those genetics with NYCD.

The results will be less than spectacular potency wise.

Best,

WTF??? How could you get less strong than the Orginal ECSD cut and some NY Diesel?? What would be stronger?

I was planning on this being a multi-generational breeding program. Meaning that I would be crossing offspring males with the original mothers a couple of times. Interesting you say that OL, and I agree with you.

Bubba if you feel that the male pollen doner is not the best, then why use it. The clones will be around, why not seek out a better male doner?

its not that its a bad pollen, I just want to have the other two in relatively pure seed form, the bubba kush especially. Also, right now this is the best pollen available to me. In addition, i am moving in a couple months and I would like to have a seed base in case the clones arent available to me in the future. Thanks for the interest bacchus!

As a rule of thumb, whenever I've pollenated plants in the past (not a lot I admit), I've aimed to do it exactly halfway through the flowering period. I may be wrong, but I think sativas may grow seeds as slow as they flower - so on a 12-week strain, do them at 6. I just did my Malawi Golds at six weeks flower, and my Skunk #1 at five - i.e. both at the same time, so they should finish up more or less together.

Thanks for the info everyone, ill keep updated posted. Im really interested in creating a stable seed line of the pre-98 bubba kush cutting that I have. Anyone think thats a good idea? Cheers
