so I had to save a clone from a mom plant that was going to die
quarantined it and bam 3 days later i see little yellow bugs (thrips)

i really dont like the idea of touching the fuckers or their eggs and spreading them, so then I got an idea! scotch tape!

nothing is more fun and cruel than ripping them off the leaves and seeing them stuck on the tape...

after that I removed the leaves and parts of leaves with dead material. the clone has not had enough time to root yet (less than a week).

is there anything else I can do to make sure this thing wont die? im half tempted to reclean the clone (for the 4th time) (just to be sure) and then stick it in a new plug in case adults could have gone into the medium.

yep

took a clone from a mother plant that was put outdoors and a few days later - i see what looks like thrips

i can only assume that the mother plant has them too as the clone was put into a sterile environment

thrips suck...but it ain't the worst thing you could have. i'd leave the clone alone for bit.....don't wanna handle her toooo much.
