Did I take clones to late and kill my plant?

Hello everyone, sorry for the dumb question, which I could answer if I were near my plants.. About a week ago, I took some clones (around july 7th) 43N in NE usa, from my nigerian nightmare plants which are getting pretty big.. I took clones late, because it was too late to start a new crop.. but now im wondering if maybe the plants had just started to flower, and by me chopping off some of the nice tops, might I have inadvertantly killed my plant? I can tell you nothing would devistate me more at this point then to go back to my lone spot, and find my two beatufiul moms to be dead due to my stupidity.. so.. anyone have any insights? NN is supposed to be very photoperiod sensative..

i don't think you can kill it by taking the nice tops off. they are weed you know and will make it no probs. your babies sould be fine next time you visit.

good luck!

thats very good to hear, I just thought I remembered hearing that taking the new tops of a freshly flowering plant would be detrimental to it

Next time take the clones off the lower half of the plant. I have a much higher success rate with them. Last fall I took clones midway through flowering. They took forever but they rooted.

Thanks JJ, yeah, I usually take them from the bottom, but I was trying to bush it out a bit more, so I cut a few tops off.. see you in the NY thread.
