Did I rouin my oil? (brownies)

Hey guys, rite now im in the process of extracting thc into vegetable oil for brownies. For about 15 min my herb was in the pot of boiling vegetable oil set at med-high stove setting. It took me 15 min to realize that shit I cant have it to hot for the thc could vaporize. I was wondering if at 15 minutes in some somewhat active boiling oil i have fucked myself by ruining the thc?

or am I just over worrying.

-thanks

instead of making a potentialy weak batch of brownies add more cannabis to the oil and extract again

if the first extraction was sucessful youll have potent bronwies simply eat less, they willbe better nonetheless

Yep you never explained this bit very clearly.

Do you mean you cooked away all the water to leave just cannabutter "simmering/frying" away for 15 minutes, or you had your water/cannabutter mixture bubbling away like it should for 15 minutes but instead of simmering it was on medium AND SIMMERING TOO HOT, too fast? And did you cause damage to thc by that 15 minute "overheating"?

Or was it some other wtf? lolz

If it got down to just bubbling cannabuter then maybe a loss of thc.

If it was my 2nd option above, then no I don't believe you did any damage to your thc :joint:

Also be aware there is a saturation point. Meaning there is a point where the butter/oil can't absorb the trichomes present, and they'll get washed out with the water, I guess :noway:

I like a strong cannabutter, and I usually have lots of really nice trim to make it with. well, enough to get me thru to the next round of trim hehe

I usually make enough cannabutter for a dozen cakes and after dividing by weight into portions, I freeze the remainder and don't really see any loss in potency of cannabutter over a 3 month period.

Enjoy :joint:
