did i do the scrog right? i put the pistil spots threw the screen and tried to keep most of the leaves on the bottom as to not get in the way of the light....

anyone exp. with scrogging please tell me im doing it right

by pistil spots do you mean growth tips (the apexes from which new leaves grow)?


thats a scrog I did, you want some leaves above the screen, but not a whole lot of foliage, just 1 or 2 nodes worth of leaves.

Also if things get too leafy above the screen, don't be afrade to trim...

well when i first started it i didnt have correct lighting and im very new to growing pot..ive read abotu it alot but this was my first tyr at it..so i didnt prun when i needed to and its just one long shoot...and as i said i didnt have lights untill today....

this run you will not yield much, maybe 2-6 grams (if you're lucky)

next time you should start with a screen with a lot bigger holes, 1.5-2" is best.

if you can scrape up about $40 you can get a 150w hps and then you can be pulling mutiple oz'es per harvest, set aside $5 a week and you'll have it in 2 months.

Back to the light you have... is it 2 40w tubes?

the reason im not going with a HID is because i cant find one around here and im not gonna order one ofline...this was al done with cash..if someday i see one that i can buy with cash and such ill get it..plus this is mainly a trial run to kinda learn how togrow..when i get more exp then i may upgrade the lights....and yes both are 40W bulbs...

you dont have any lowes or home depots around you? or are you not in the US. if not you can find 150w hps security lights and 250w hps security lights at most home improvement stores these can easily be converted to work as growlights, believe me i have seen the difference between hid lights and floros in flowering and ill say there are defenitly far more possibilitys with a HID, and it will actually make your work worth it.

Isn't this too small of a screen for those plants?
Better 'd be to use poultry netting I think, also let the canopy spread out till you have many growing shoots (where the buds grow) above the screen; then flower

i checked home depo but didnt find anything i coiuld use...im not an electrician and im not about to burn my trailor down....

the reason the plant looks skimpy is cuz i started before i knew anything about growing...i had it in my window in my house...im just tryiung to finish off this plant before i can start some new ones...

the screen was free....and ive got nips and have been cutting holes wherever the shoots are soi thats not a problem ...and i can always make the holes bigger....

i just mainly wanted to know if i connected it to the screen right...i have the whole stem under the screen with only the shoots sticking up...is that the way it is normally done?

typicly, yes
