Did Federal Express take the package?

:fsu: Here is the story, need to know your thoughts.

A package was sent to my buddies house from CA to Texas with federal express. We took a look to track the package today and it says that the package made it all the way there. Once it arrived at the town, the package is now in exception status.

What is my next step, do you think they found it ? Do you think I should try to pick it up?

This SUCKS.......... :cuss:

are they requesting you pick it up? never had anything goto exception status. Humm. doing a google search looks like it might be a good idea to tidy up.

I think you may be right.....a exception can be anything. When I called about the mystery package, I heard something about security. Well, thats all I needed.

If it arrives, I will hold on to it and wait a week. Thanks for the google search.

Exception status is no big deal. I order plenty of stuff online, and I've gotten that status a gazillion times. It could mean anything. Maybe they messed up, and it'll arrive a day late, because it's still in one of their warehouses, or maybe the person wasn't home when it was being delivered. Could be anything.......

Now, if you sent weed in the package or something, then that's pretty dumb, and that's a different story...

You cant be help accountable for what gets sent to you in the post. DO NOT call them, DO NOT sign for the package and you cant get in trouble. If it comes it comes, if it doesn't lesson learned.

From FedEx's website:

What is a status exception code?
An exception occurs when a package is temporarily delayed while in transit. Every effort is made to deliver every package as soon as possible, so an exception does not necessarily denote a late shipment. The status exception explains the most recent exception in the scan activity section.

The term "PMX" refers to a p.m. exception, when a shipment is returned to a delivery station for the night because it was undeliverable during the courier's route. Such a delivery exception may occur because the package was incorrectly addressed, a recipient was unavailable, etc. In many cases, delivery is re-attempted the next day.

Hope your package gets to you soon... :joint: Let us know what happens

Yea I'm hoping the best, mainly because if the fuzz was on your tail, marking your package 'exception' would be a good tip off.

So here is the latest on the mystery package. It still has'nt arrived and it is still in exception status. ( if it comes, it comes, not going to push this issue)

Now here is my thoughts on this. After looking at the tracking log, it made it all the way to the truck....you mean to tell me that probaly 40 people handled this thing that was sealed correctly. Meaning; it was vacuumed sealed then wraped in over 10 freezer bags then put in bubble envelope.

So.....who's to say that the driver felt the package felt like something of importance ( in my case) and busted it open ( they did say it had been opened as well ) and took most one pkg and left the other and then turned it in to cover his/her ass. This is only my thoughts....but it sounds damn good.

Will update Mon....as the saga continues....

BlackVelv.......that was some funny shit!

March 6, 2007 08:14 AM -- (CHAMPAIGN, Ill.) -- Two former FedEx employees from Champaign, Illinois, face drug charges for allegedly stealing marijuana found in a FedEx shipment. More...

Deron Frank and Eric Moody -- who are both 27 -- face unlawful possession with intent to deliver cannabis.

Supervisors at FedEx say they found a box going from California to Puerto Rico that had about 50 pounds of marijuana in it.

Authorities in the east-central Illinois city say Frank and Moody discovered the box and removed about ten pounds of the drugs before authorities started their investigation.

FedEx is based in Memphis.

Not too bright sending with FedEx anyway. USPS Express is the ONLY way to go, no matter how much it costs you.
