Desigining a Tent... ventilation questions, help please.

Ok, so I'm going to make a tent out of 6mil panda film. I was going to make the skeleton out of PVC for ease of install but I cannot find a "corner piece" that is all a single uniform size... so I think I might be making it out of wood... which sucks because if I build it out of wood it won't be square and will prolly topple.

Dimensions of cab are going to be about 6'L, 3'W,7.5'H

I would like a sealed environment so I can run CO2.

Problem:
- 1x 460 CFM Dayton with Dual 4" Exhaust and single 6" intake. I need this to remove air from my hood and to run a filter... Thats where the problem lies.

I was going to have the dayton blow air thru the light hood (2x250w HPS) and have the other side of exhaust blow through a scrubber... but then I would need to have an intake to pull air into the cab that the light going outside after passing through the hood displases. Bad... not good for c02.

I could have the dayton outside and just use the 460cfm for cooling the hood,.. but its winter and I don't need that much air blowing through the hood... and plus that will not allow for using the other side of the dayton for scrubbing.

How should I do the hood cooling AND carbon scrubbing with ONE (dual exhaust) 460cfm blower - while maintaining a closed environment (to minimise C02 loss)???

Basically you'll need some form of active cooling. I'd use the dayton to air cool the hood and setup a portable AC in the wall of the tent...as for odor control, if it's sealed you won't have any odor leaking from the tent - but it will make the room it's in smell everytime you open the door. A small inline fan (4") mounted in the tent attached to a scrubber recirculating the air will take care of it.

I think I'm going to get another blower (265) and put its intake on a scrubber and have it on exhaust from the cab, set on a thermostat, for when temps get too high.

eh?

It'll be constantly kicking on and sucking out the CO2 most likely unless you live in a very cool climate. Don't get me wrong, the CO2 will still help but it's gonna be very inefficient to use it in a vented room...especially one where the vent is on a thermostat.

Pretty much need to decide on either going vented or sealed and go from there...

It's approaching winter here and the Cab will be in a cold environemnt (50-60*F) so the ambient temp will be lower then that of the tent itself... because the ambient temp is too cold for meh plants.

No AC.. thanks for the idea, but I'm not willing 2 go thru the hastle..

I will prolly just use 460cfm to blow through my hood, keep the fans and ballasts outside of the tent and only get that other fan for heat extraction if I need it... which I may well not.

Any other suggestions?

Tent is only gonna be 6x3x7 - 2x250w HPS

i would run minimum 2 x 400w in that big of space for starters.

Yeah, I figured it wouldn't be enough, but I had the hood and lights laying around.. and they needed to be put to use.
