This turned into a very informative thread. Great conversation.
Peduncle. Say it out loud. Words are funny things.
Damn 40 mph I thought 30mph was beast some of my hollow stem stuff broke had to up my support, what are you using with those winds? Mine have some beast thickness to their branches from the winds.
So your heat stress is pretty obvious now. The plant is taking up more Na than K. Get some spectrum extra from tainio...when you call them share your paste test and let them recommend.
An as odd as it seems spray some K
Edit...coco is the source of the soluble Na.

Good pH....the organic material is almost 50%, kind of high.
You are very low for Sulphur which could be the source of a number of issues.
Low in Boron also, necessary for plants to utilize calcium.
- from Michael Astera in his example of reading a soil test:
"Next we come to a couple of Anions, Sulfur and Phosphorus. Anions are negatively charged atoms. They are designated by the - minus symbol. Sulfur is important for many life processes including formation of protein. Most soils in high rainfall areas are deficient in Sulfur as Sulfur is easily leached away in water. Onions, Garlic, and members of the cabbage family all require a lot of Sulfur to grow well. At 13ppm, this soil is far too low in Sulfur."
You should pop for $45 and have Michael Astera tell you exactly what you need. Nothing like having an expert lay it all out simply, telling you exactly what you need:

Read this to get an idea of how to do some evaluating on your own:

I think you are right. You nailed its hiding behavior to a "T".the bug is a leafhopper. haven't seen them decimate but they're suckers, and crafty ones. they will hide from you by inching around the far side of the stem. if you catch one and throw it out the door, they will fly back and hide on you and catch a ride.
i doubt they're a threat to an outdoor grow.
So to convert from lbs per acre to lbs per yard divide bt 807 for the macro stuff. I say spray the micros...or measure the actual density of your soil and pm humphreydave.
Kind of disappointing they did not adress the paste test
