HOUSTON –Precinct 4 deputy constables seized 788 marijuana plants from a home in northwest Harris County Tuesday, investigators said.

The plants were discovered when deputies executed an eviction order at the home, located in the 11000 block of Ferndale Way.

When they got inside, deputies said they found a large, pot-growing operation throughout the house.

They said all rooms of the two-story residence were filled with marijuana plants in various stages of maturity, along with grow lights, watering and filtration systems and temperature-control equipment.

The home and the equipment were powered by a direct connection to power lines, bypassing the meter system, deputies said.

The pot was believed to be worth about $3.55 million on the street.

Deputies said the home appeared to be abandoned, and no arrests were made.

Still, the investigation was ongoing.

About 4,000 in the Houston area and 4,800 for Austin, San Antonio. Houston is still in love with reggie.

Looks like about 6 or 7 million to me.

I wonder if they'll still inflate those numbers when they're getting sued over medical someday..

cops allways blow the price of siezed weed waaaay out of preportion. even if the stuff does sell for 6k a pound, the pants in those pics didnt look even close to having a pound on them. they acctually looked like low yielding plants.

anyway a lb in my area of ontario canada is like 2k and the common price for a oz is like $200 and its been that way for a decade.

Top shelf is real hard to find in Texas but when you do, it goes for $20-$30/ gm. Most is low to medium quality, dried out, nute sparking mids. Kids are growing a lot of it and are not interested in growing quality or mature.

such bullshit....that house is only 4-5 bedrooms tops...even if they had 25 lights going and hitting 2 lbs per light thats still only 50 pounds at any one given time....even if they used the retail breakdown value at 30 a gram @ 13k a pound its still less than a million dollars!

how do these fuckhead cops get off lying like that....they can only pull this bullshit off in non med states where people arent knowin whats up....here in california the newspaper comment section would be full of people calling BS and telling the cops to fuck off and congrats for wasting taxpayer money...

ya that's a rare story. Growing in texas sucks, and the pigs usually get there man. I grew there for ten years. I had to up and move within 12 hours multiple times to avoid piggies. They dont give a fuck about the 4th amendment. You dont want to go to houston, dallas, or austin country jail for anything. two days minimum just to process your paper work most of the time. Plus the prisoners you get thrown in with are the meanest mother fuckers you will meet. Th guards are corrupt and in the prison gangs, and will beat you for complaining.

also prices are much lower there. only scrubs pay more than 4k for anything right now.

yes, the pigs are stupid and corrupt.
and sure, prohibition is unjust.
but how did these folks get found out?
because the cops came to serve a goddamned eviction order.

break that down for a minute.
this means that a summons was served on the tenants.
then a court date was scheduled.
then a judge signed the eviction order.
and then some time after that the constables came to throw the tenants out.

these cats either were so sloppy that they fucked off their court date,
or (even worse) they were there and KNEW THEY WERE GETTING THE BOOT BUT STILL DID NOTHING!
what kind of shitburger lets that happen at his shop?
apparently the same kind that leaves everything as it is for the cops to clean up.

the more time i spend around people, the less use i have for them.

I think it is much more likely that they felt some heat and completely droped everything to with this property including paying rent. You would be shocked at how sloppy some of leo's early surveillance work can be.
