One thing you need to do is ditch that negative attitude of yours. You're already defeated before the class even starts. Bite the bullet, take the class, and be done with it. Apply yourself and the rest will take care of itself. I know, I've been there.

I needed to get a 3.8 my last two semesters to graduate on time ... all 300 and 400 level classes. I got one B - a 3.9.

I rode my bike to school and picked up a six-pack on the way home. Then studied or wrote for classes 2.5 hours every day without fail. Then I cracked open the Shaeffer beers and toked on this super dry brown bud, like I remember "columbian" that was $70/quarter - outrageous at the time, but it expended maybe 20-30% percent when moistened and was the only stuff I could find at the time.

Chin-up!

There's always talking to the professor directly and asking what you need to bring things up and apply yourself with the fire needed to make it happen.

or pay for the class again....

I did apply myself. I suck at advanced logic. Doing well in my computer classes and the class "after" this class though... I think.

well you see, you're already working on nailing it. Also ask around or look for some extra tutorial help or something. I entered university after working for about 8 years so I went in through a special program for people who didn't graduate high school like me.

It was like 2 days of comprehensive testing to apply. Then when I was in I was advised to learn english.... it is my 1st and only language but apparently I could not communicate well if I have to write anything down.

I did the course and I learnt alot. I look back at my first efforts at reports and such and it was truly gobbledy gook...... I still can't understand what the heck I was going on about but I got through uni with a degree

I also had to repeat 2 subjects. 1 course I did 3 times... but I can tell you I know that stuff like nothing else.

even if you only gotta do 1 repeat you should be able to get a job while you knock of the last 1.

good luck with it

life is a fuckin boring monotonous piece of shit. you always gotta do shit u don't want to otherwise people start laying guilt trips on you. it'll be good when i die or if i win lots of money.

..been in this hell whole of a situation for 4 years now.. after finals are done in a couple weeks. dude, for some reason i always find someway to pull it out. its all up in the head. you gotta know that your gonna pass the class or at least have a positive attitude over it. first things first.. you gotta chill out.. you cant get too stressed or else your just gonna get burnt out faster.. wasted energy.. which could be concentrated at approaching the problem and then accomplishing it. you should think what your schedule is gonna be like a week in advance before the big tests so you can have enough time to study

It's actually "Life's a bitch and then you die, thats why we get high."

I suck at advanced logic.

Can you identify your tripping point? As in is it remembering the proper names for fallacies, putting dialog into expressions?

I ask because logic was one of the few college subjects I could still get A's and B's in without studying outside of class. PM me if you wish.

well, what about summer school?

or talk to the professor...you never know, maybe they can help you or bump your grade a lil when the time comes b/c they'll remember you coming to them. it's worth a try to go to them and explain your problem. maybe they could give you an extra credit assignment?

You guys are lucky to even have the chance of being educated properly..........most of the people on this planet would gladly trade places with you........try working in a paddy field for a day in the tropical heat and living in a shanty town full of muck and mosquito's.......you will gladly run back to your dormitories.......

I got one of my final grades for one class... B, supposed that was hyped as the hardest CS class and it was rough, but I made it.

Still don't know how I did in the class I'm worried about...

hah. Ended up with a B- in the class. Evidently she dropped a test score of mine.
Dope... Now I just need the grades from one more class (which I was also on the edge with)... all of my projects i got full credit on... (50% of the grade), but the homeworks i got 4%/15% on... 5% for attendance... I'm close..
