When I was in the car business 4 decades ago it was well known that the dirtiest cars were the germans closely followed by the Japanese.

The cleanest emitting cars then, and now are American made.

Considering their Nazi origins, emissions testing should be the least of their worries. Such a smack in the face they paid enough money to brainwash the American market into believing they were the cars of peace loving hippies less than 30 years after the war. You know, if we're taking on fascist vehicle manufacturers and their harmful emissions.

Let's emissions test our skies.

Ive got a passat and while they are nice to drive,they are a pain in the ass to fix.ive never ever seen a car leak oil like this in my life

my wifes Passat is the best car we have ever had. i used to drive an old Kharman Ghia (sp?) that caught on fire every third or fourth time you started it. turn the key, it backfired, & lit the perpetual gas leak on the carburetor. fun as hell car to drive after you beat the flames out though...
