Reefs Cherry Indica was supposedly gifted to him by Jack Herer (according to Reef) - Heritage unknown. Reef got it as a clone and bred it with who knows what.

Mr. G's CB has already been covered - A Maui that Mr. G has been inbreeding since the 80's. Heritage - speculated to be mostly Thai or other S.E Asian with a touch of Indica (his speculation IIRC) He had a parallel line to the CB from the same batch of original beans that he either lost, or lost interest in.

i grew cherry bomb back in the 80's and 16 weeks into flower i could sit on my second floor apartment balconey and clip buds as she was ready to harvest. i sugared her up with molasses and found the hash had a cherry like aroma and taste but the bud while fruity was more akin to the kiwi, couldnt quite place the flavor.

i guess this one is out of my reach now, thank you for the update guys.

who i know on a first hand basis; introduced the cherrybomb2 and it had indica genes in it. it grew like dj's blueberry indica and i would classify it as an INDICA DOM. both original sativas have been genetically altered by human hands to fit the commercial market of today.

i have the original blueberry sativa and have crossed this to a hashplant to get after 9 generations a 90% stable BLUE HASH! i dont think true blue will ever be completely stable as it seems to have a rebel gene in its makeup.

the original cherry bomb was not an american sativa unlike the blueberry sativa that was. i also knew jack and he told me that the cut he gifted reef was a hybrid of the bomb. using jack's name as he has passed (god rest his soul) but reef is still alive and kicking.

CB II was Reefs Cherry Indica x Mr G's Maui based CB

I grew the CB II twice, and I have grown Mr G's CB as well as hybrids I made with it. I have beans of Mr G's CB as well as a couple other crosses of it.

The CB II was OK. I much prefer Mr G's Maui line to the CB II hybrid

do you mean like not knowing the difference between a saudi and a jordanian? usually i believe what people say and what i read in articles that i have collected from magazines since the 60's on marijuana. next you will be telling me there wasnt 19 hybrids of NL by dutch passion and that there are only 5 left in circulation!

Di wi Dalat, a former marine, brought the Dalat seeds back from a plantation owned by an old French family in Vietnam. Di wi Dalat was a top chap- very friendly and helpful. He moved into business selling root training pots that the Chinese used for growing rice. I hope he is still doing well for himself. :good:

He gifted the seeds around and the best Dalat grow i saw was by MarkSurfs on OG. Massive plants he flowered them for months and months finally drying pounds and pounds of Dalat flowers.

I don't think we hear so much about Dalat because the high was not so pleasant. Very paranoid if i remember correctly.

EDIT Found this and thought you guys might like it

Thirty-two years ago I was a 20 year old fresh faced and very naive young man sent to S. E. Asia by our government. I was caught up like so many of my generation in the wide sweeping "net" of the last military draft of the last century, and sent to fight in Viet Nam.

I became a helicopter pilot and flew all over the central highlands of Viet Nam, circa 1970-71. Of all the the things that I experienced, and of all the places that I "visited" while there, one of the most remarkable in a war of renowned remarkability, was the sight of 30 foot tall plantation style cannabis plants in a little known province called Dalat.

Dalat is off the beaten track, nestled between two mountain ranges at an altitude of around 6000 feet above sea level(It was the birth place of Ho Chi minh and therefore "off limits" to the V.C.), and really only accessible from the air ( I had a distinct advantage because of my air mobility!).

While there I met the "owner of the "plantation", a wonderful old French gentleman, and he was always more than kind when it came to sharing in his bounty! For our part we kept him well stocked with much needed, and hard to get, staples and supplies. Without a doubt it was the most remarkable "herb" I've ever experienced, and these past 32 years I've never seen the equal of those "Dalat 100's"!

Anyway...a fellow compatriot and veteran recently "re-visited" the very same plantation, and much to his surprise, found the heirs of our old friend carrying on the generations old "family tradition". The stories he tells of wandering for hours, through row after row of "trees the size of fence posts, with buds as big as a big mans leg..." are truly amazing. But that's another story, for another time.

Here's my question: by a stoke of good fortune, and also because of the seeds of friendship and good Karma that we sowed over 30 years ago,my friend was able to "bring back a generous lifetime supply of pure land race sativa seeds of a variety not seen in the "world" in over 30 years! So...I need your help in the cultivation of this special plant. What's the best advice you can give me, concerning all aspects: lighting, soil, temperature, etc. for an indoor grow??? For my part I promise to spread these genetics around to as many people as I can.

Here you go. 45 pages of Di Wee and his Dalats. Big motherf*ckers! :) The pics in his thread remind me of pics from The Real Seed co's Nepalese. He gifted them out to a few people. 20'Thai, Dubi, and a few others I dont remember. Dubi said that they weren't interesting. But, I'd find them interesting from the size alone!! I never heard anything from 20'Thai.... :/ DWD's reports of 'Nam guage the plants at 25 to 30 foot tall. Kangativa has recently grown out a Luang Prabang about that tall, but he said the same of it.... uninteresting. :(

VietBlack seems to be in Willy Nelson and VietBlack/Thai maybe one or two others currently available....

My VietBlackThais are great! A smooth working-mans high. Although, #3 when sampled early was a bit confusing/paranoid. You'd have to smoke a lot of it at that stage to be in any kind of trouble, though. Worth checking out, IMO. ;)
