Dehumidifier not working in tent, too much air circ?

hey yall.. been browsing this forum for months now, so thanks for all the helpful info.. finally my first post..

just started running a 30 pint dehumidifier in a 5x9x7 tent and its on the highest fan setting and continuous (the setting below 35 deg), and its only able to get the RH down to 52%. the intake is bringing in fresh air from outside the garage that the tent is in with a 8" 745cfm fan. the outtake is as such: inside tent - carbon filter - 8" 745cfm - hoods - outside tent - outside garage. both have speed controllers and are usually kept on medium and medium high respectively (creating a somewhat negative pressure). my question is if the amount of air circulation for this size room is too much insofar as the dehumidifier can only dry out so much air till it gets more fresh wet air from outside, and 52% is just the point at which it can't go any faster? if so, what suggestions do yall have for getting the RH down to 40%, as its week 2 of flower and i wanna keep it as dry as possible. i thought about turning both fans down, but then the temps would increase right? (ive got no AC yet)

also, the dehum is elevated via a shelf to a few inches above the space in between my two scrogs and it is draining to outside my tent

Your plants will stretch better at 52% than 40%. You are too early in the flowering cycle to lower humidity. Wait till the buds begin filling out, toward week 7 or 8. Anyway, 52% is not that humid.

Why do you want it so low ??? in veg you want RH to be 65 - 75
and in flower slowly dropping RH as weeks go by from 75 - 65 - 55 and so on i go 2 week intervals lowest i ever drop RH is 50 in flower up to chop day..
Aslong as you got good fans, and ventilation, your going to have a home run grow :)
People tend to think that wants in flower .. there RH has to drop to 40 and only thing that happens is plants go to shit first week , second week leaf issues .. and compounded problems
52 RH is perfect run your dehumidifier at lights off

yaman! blessings.
Run your 8 inch on full
and dim your hepa filtered intake...especially coming from garage.
52 % is perfect though.
even in end of run , would not be a problem, especilally if your intake is filtered...(lol)
adding your ac will dehumidify as well...so there you go!
How does your dehumidifier drain? and where?
If you really freaking out about being at 30 % in the last two weeks, upgrade your dehumidifier.
What are the average Rh% Lights off?

didn't know about slowly dropping humidity, will have to do that next go around... ive got it narrowed in on a constant 50% now, i guess ill just keep it at that and maybe drop down to 45 before chop day... yup good fans and ventilation for sure, got a 16" hurricane oscilating and a smaller 6" under the canopy and plenty of filtered fresh air from outside... gonna post pictures here soon, super stoked as this is my first grow!

8 inch is now on full with that oregon summer heat finally rolling through. the dehumidifier drains thru a hose to outside the tent so i dont have to constantly take out the tray n what not, way easier. the RH during lights off will average 51% recently, which im not gonna tinker more with as it seems to be a fine average, ya?

im not using a HEPA filter though... just got this 20 dollar combo from the local grow shop that has a felt-type layer for small particles, and another window screen type attachment for bigger particles... been doing the trick thus far but maybe next go around ill upgrade to a HEPA!

I am set up, samey, same, intake from garage, exhaust to attic but took the dehumidifier out of the tent and put it on a shelf that drains to a 10 gallon 'barrel' and that 'barrel' has a 1/4" hose that gravity feeds the humidifier that is in the tent and a handy 350GPH pump for when that 'barrel' it gets full, every 4-5 days in summer. your summers and winters, as far as humidity and high temps, are no worse than florida.
