Dehumidifier issues...

I have this dehumidifier hooked up to an Inkird controller, the only problem is when the controller tells it to turn on it doesn't actually turn on because the on/off button actually needs to be pressed...does anyone know how to rig this thing to always be toggled on?

If it is a digital dehuey, you are screwed. Mine is a push button run trhough an Inkbird and it does what it is suppose to do!

It's one of these:

Hysure 2201 Portable Dehumidifier

Definitely not digital, pretty sure the power button just needs to be bypassed, not sure if I just need to connect the leads before the power button or what... haven't really cracked it open to look inside yet.

Yes you can take the switch out to close the circuit. Your on and off button will be the Inkbird. Open it up and look.

Little late but with many of the dewies with electronic control are "hackable" thru the safety switch for the res overflow.

With the built in controls set to max dry you can use external control switching the unit on and off with a relay using the overflow switch circuit for power on/off

I like that Frank.

The little portable is a bit of a puzzle. I'm not sure why it's a momentary switch. But such things often don't like constantly holding. The Full switch can probably be done on any dehu~ though.

A well earned rep point :)
