dehumidifier in grow room anyone?

Hello folks, I was just curious if anybody growing indoors uses a dehumidfier in their grows. I got some mold problems with a grow, and decided to try a dehumidifier to combat the moisture problem. I just can't stand to see good bud go bad. Thanks in advance. Stay safe, and enjoy

I keep a portable AC in my growroom mostly because it also dehumidifies. It works great to keep RH down, and prevent bud mold. The only two issues are they create heat and water. I vent the heat out of the room, and then re-use the water.

 Thanks for the fast reply. I had no idea about this site until the other day. Everyone seems nice, and I feel this is a good place to pick up knowledge, and hopefully pass it on. Thanks again

I use a dehumidifier too and it will help not only with the mold but increases potency! Large plants transpire a lot and moisture can be an issue especially in hydro systems. Nite humidity is now only 55-60% compared to 80%!

Well I grow in an outside shed and with this cold weather and snow the humidity gets high.I picked up an industrial size unit at an auction and couldn't grow there without it.
If you grow a lot of Indicas it's a given to have one the last two or three weeks of flower.

I bought one from Sears it holds a couple gallons, cost was around 200usd. it didn't use much electricity though.

Got mine from Sears, too. They are in the appliance section, by the air conditioners. I got a big one on wheels. Works great, too. Adjustable settings and all! :canabis:

open up a Sears charge!

hehe.

good luck!!!

And remember they aren't on much, just enough to keep your levels down. You can cover all water surfaces and openings to further prevent evaporation!

I have the opposite problem... it's dry here in the winter. Room humidity around 33%. I can get it up to about 45%... just by putting out a tub of water of water.

Would it be advantageous for me to get a humidifier?

The room is 8 X 5 X 7 feet high.

Nah your ranges is perfect! You can even foliar without problems just not under the bright lights as it can cause leave burn, so spray em away from the lite and return afterwards or do it when lites first come on.
