Deficiencies?

Deficiencies? Some of my flowering plants, now on week 3 of bud formation, are progressing with spots that start small then later from into brown areas which overcome and then destroy the leaf. They are present on the lower leaves and appear to be moving to the middle of the plant. The upper portion of the plants looks OK. I am growing in pro mix in 3 gal. containers with 5 tablespoons happy frog mixed into each container. I have uploaded a typical damaged leaf.

"... week three of bud formation". Thus probably your plant no longer has use for its big leaves. So your plant has pulled back the nutrients in the leaves for use in flowering and the big leaves will drop off. It's like when humans get grey hair ... they're getting mature. Your plant is 'maturing'.

Or in other words your plant is 'senescent' and this is nothing to worry about.

i had another case, where All Leafes became like rotten Brown, but not dried, wet rotten. It was with my Longflowering Vietblacks from mid November on when it was freezing Temperat. All Leafes gone 95 percent, only the pointy Little budleafes survived.
To my surprise the Plants still developped the Seeds i was making to a reasonable Degree one month longer in this State!!! So i think it is true what Teddy says.

Sorry no Pics, but : This is before al Leafes fell off.

Call this the good Times, not the Brown Leaf-Times.. but the Plants changed dramatically short after this, looked like dead, i was shocked every time i visited them.

I think in this extreme Case whether the Coldness, or the Roots completely underwater was responsible alot.

That looks like a potassium deficiency.

Well I have been battling this problem about 6 months. I used a sonkir soil ph meter and tested random plants in my garden and they all read out to be between 7 and 8 on the tester

It may be that my PH meter is not accurate and that I have a PH problem. But it is organic with just pro mix and 5 tablespoons of 555 per container.

And also the temps are at 79-84 and the humidity is about 40. I am now using a humidifier for this as my heater dries out the air so bad. I thought this may have been caused by low humidity so I raised it from 20 to 40 and placed new plants in there. But this time around one of my strains is still manefesting those leaf problems. I am running anotgher strain in there with it. And I have given them both the exact fertiliser and the other strain is doing well with no spots and a good cokor
