Deep Chunk @ 66 days of flower..

Here's a DC mum that needed to be flowered as she was getting a lil wide..

She's not the best plant to flower topped, but with some fan leaf pruning she's managable..

I'm actualy pretty happy with how it turned out topped, and since she was a mum, the extra time didn't matter..

the trichs got some nice amber going on and she's been done for pistils for a couple weeks now.. a lil but of tip burn and some yellowin', she was kinda neglected..

Beautiful specimen she was BC! I'm kicking myself in the ass for not jumping on the DC when I had the chance. Instead, I got the Skunk IBL...which still was not a bad deal. Wassup with the DCxDC? Shure would love to see that cross....maybe I'll get a chance to sample the pure chunk someday? Anyways....nice job, as always buddy! Check your pm's if ya would too huh.

ya, ya can't go wrong with either IBL, but i definately prefer DC for smoking than HT Skunk, altho HTSkunk grows and yeilds like a champ..

I put it on the back burner for a bit, until i'm able to look at more males and females.. DC needs to be kept going with as many males and fems as possible, and I don't really wanna bother with any 1:1 pure crosses with her.. But i'll be making some pure DC eventualy..

LOL Bobbie, I hear ya on that one.. after Bub got busted I vowed never again to miss out on any of the good IBLs.. so I started sourcing out all the IBLs I could..

thanks bro.. nah, no Co2, temps were about 65-70 lights on, around 50-55 lights off.. so pretty chilly.

thanks, I already have a new mum, this one jus got a lil too wide for my mum section, despite massive pruning.. DC ain't going anywhere.

that's a hard question to answer.. she was kept as a mum for a few months in a 3" pot, pruned back heavily to keep her as small as possible.. Once i decided to flower her i put her in the 1 gallon pot and vegged her for a few weeks, maybe a month.. She was topped from the get go (when the original mum was rooted), and woulda actualy had about 3-4 times as many tops if i didn't thin and prune her regularly..

What does the smoke taste like? Sour? Fruity? Incensy?

I believe XYZ's DC is reproduced Tom Hill stock via Raco? i could be wrong..


Jack, the taste is pure old skewl 'ghani, with some definate kushy tones.. she smells almost identical to katsu's Bubba in veg and flower, but looses some of her sweetness/intenseness after harvest..

For a pure unhybridized line her taste is hard to beat. dankish, musky, skunky, earthy, kushy.. but by no means the best smelling/tasting herb around.. her true value is for breeding, but it's always nice to have a jar of her around..

She yeilded ok, but about the same as a well grown untopped plant.. there were very lil in terms of lower nugs.. it was mostly popcorn.. so i don't really think it's worth the extra time in veg indoors.. altho it's still worth flowering a mum..
