dedicated outlet: extension cord wattage distribution relevant?

Hey guys. in the new setup, I have a dedicated breaker hooked up to a standard, single outlet/surge protector. I'm using approximately 200 watts directly into said surge protector. I'm also running a (capable) extension cord from said surge protector, into another surge protector 8 feet away for convenient access.

The latter surge protector is where I'm running my light through.

The total wattage is well under breaker/surge protector/extension cord limitations.

Is this safe?

Thank you.

If you're using less power than what the breaker is rated for you'll have no problem. Some power bars
do have limitations well under that though. The limits are usually posted on them. So do check them.
