Decarboxylation without smell?

Is there a good way to do it without making it smell like my house is hitting the pipe?

I first did it in my oven, on a rainy day, starting at 250F and ten minutes later (because of paranoia) turning it down to 225F for 20 minutes.

Next i thought i should saute/burn some onions on the stove at the same time.
Then i though about using a toaster oven, directly in front of my carbon scrubber, to accomplish the task.

Now im wondering if i can seal it in either a turkey bag, a foodsaver bag, or something else to trap the smells.

Thoughts? After decarboxylation i grind the buds to a powder and put it in capsules. I prefer pills to mixed food, because i believe it offers better titration.

FWIW it takes me 2.5-3.5 hours for it to kick in. Eating seems to increase its effects (when smoking, eating kills my buzz), or at least it kicks it into gear.

I probably wont be smoking for a while, if ever again, i need to find a safe way to heat up my ganga.

Use a turkey bag and allow it to cool off before opening it. I would think that should contain a lot of the smell. I saw a thread somewhere about decarbing in a turkey bag.

Here is a good way...http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=197778

If you want to use bud instead of using BHG, grind it up and mix it with MCT oil or Coconut oil. Get a Mason Jar and heat up the mixture to 250 F for 30 min. You can put the mason jar in a bath of cooking oil and monitor the temps. You can seal the jar.

Or the Cooking bag idea is not half bad, I might give it a go myself just for the hell of it. Either way mix it with some MCT oil or Coconut oil and then put into caps. The reason it takes you so long to feel your effects is because your body has to process the ganja powder. MCT oil or Coconut oil helps the body speed up the process. My pills take 30 to 40 min to kick in. Good luck.

Good ideas!

Some of our group puts it in vegetable oil in a pressure cooker, which they place in the oven.

If in oil, you can also use a simple canner and boil the jars in water for 12 or 14 hours, shaking them periodically.

I usually decarboxylate after I have extracted the oil, which smells less and has a different aroma than hot plant material.
