ok read the first article, they mention FARC as the model for a terrorist group that is funded by cocaine trafficking, then read the second article, which mentions that the most wanted cocaine trafficker in the world was involved with the right wing paramilitary groups that were fight AGAINST FARC, and that he was being protected by the columbian military, THIS is why the war on drugs will never work.

Pffft, I am more worried about the terror caused by my own miltary & country (the united states) than I am worried about FARC.

CIA and the goverment themselves run drugs. In 1991 a couple of Hercules freight-planes and agents was discovered in Mexico and they were full of coke, the planes, that is (;. The US-goverment lounder, according to different analysis, about 5-600 billion dollars of drug money a year through Wall Street - which is perfectly legal, different major companies like General Electrics, SONY, HP, Phillip Morris, GM, Whirlpool and Ford and the major banks in the US, Mexico and all over the rest of the world.

Cash money is very important to the economy, especially America' thats about to crumble. We saw a early example of this shortly before and after 9/11, where the $ dropped many points. Then, the US Treasury Dept. poured the American peoples money in circulation, the Federal Reserve and World Bank also helped, so it wouldn't crumble completely, and then the war came, and temporally saved the economy, shifting the money into the big military-machine. It was also an investment in getting the oil, gold and other resources in Eurasia.

Were living in the Third Reich, they won, changed venues and is now trying and doing OK in dominating larges parts of the world.

I could go on... The world is overrun with wealthy and the wicked! Neo-fascist...

Check out this site, run by alot of great journalists and a former LAPD officer, Michael C. Ruppert: http://copvcia.com/ and http://copvcia.com/free/ciadrugs/dontblink.html

The US Gov. does more to fund terrorists than any drug. Where are all those guns in Iraq? money too!! Why put the blame where it doesn't belong?

They have not completely "won" you can still make public comments such as yours and not be taken away during the night by the Gestapo. What you have to remember, is that we as humans are not too removed from being wild animals. Thus, in our society the strong still tend to dominate the weak.

That is why someone like Dr. Martin Luther King was so beloved because when he spoke he had the ability to make all people LESS apathetic.

I think what you mean is

PROHIBITION Funds Terror

and insurgency, and militias, and exploitation of the rural poor, worldwide - in Colombia, in Congo, in Burma, in Afghanistan

prohibtionist policy is the problem

I agree 100%, i especially like the middle link, because Milton friedman is the father of modern conservative theory really, so i don't see why republicans can't understand basic economics, economics professed by one of their annoited patron saints, and realize how dumb prohibition is.

Imo its the dea grabbing the last straw of a completely dead concept like the war on drugs and trying to attach it to their new ill-fated concept, the war on terror. Both designed from start to be bottomless money pits they expect the common people to keep dishing out for even when the common people have repeatedly stated they dont want it.

By and large the people are smart enough to know you cant have a war on concepts and things. Hopefully they will start demanding better specifics before tossing endless dollars towards futility.

I have to laugh when some US department says that. They should know.... they organise it all..

I think fundamentally we need to change the words we use in these "wars". To me they are not wars "on" drugs or wars "on" terror BUT in fact they are wars "of" terror and wars "of" drugs.

if you change that one word you get a true picture of what is going on. The CIA has long been known as the main source for coke in the US..... even a "leader" worked for them...its a family business apparently..... and remember Oliver North?

Notice how the opium crop in Afghanistan increases dramatically when the UN gets involved? Nothing like protection is there? I remember back many years...possibly as much as 20 and the whole afghan opium crop went through the same phase and something similar was going on... i think it was the UN in there at that time. Need to did around some microfiches for a few articles.

Bit off topic but you will also see a huge increase in reports of child prostitution and sex slavery every time a UN force sets up shop. Just google for a UN force and then search that country and prostitution. Always booms when those guys show up.
