De Sjamaan Seeds Purple Widow (unusual autoflowering)

Good evening growers,
I have to get something off my chest that happened to me last season. I planted a De Sjamaan Seeds Purple Widow last year and was lucky enough to get a female. The only problem is that I planted in late April and it finished flowering by mid July!!! This is not an autoflowering strain. I wrote it off as just a mix up from the seedbank. However, the strain smelled just like the description but didn't turn purple. Also, the plant finished a whole month later than the actual autos I had planted.

Here's where it gets crazy....
Last season I grew it indoors for a few weeks before transplanting outdoors and the power went off for a day and half when I wasn't around. Shortly after that I transplanted the seedling to its spot in the ground outdoors. The plant never grew any branches (not a single branch no joke). It grew to about 3 and half feet and with one gigantic cola that was about 2 feet long. The bud was real airy but smelled amazing.

I really want to know if it was just a mix up from the seedbank and they gave me a sativa leaning/late finishing auto, or if I somehow managed to get a photo strain to autoflower.

Anyone have a clue?

Oh by the way, the seed refused to germ in water even after scuffing it with sand paper. Then it took 7 days (no joke) to sprout from the soil. I never gave up on it. When I finally saw it sprout, it was like watching a miracle. So weird...everything about it. I wish I saved the pictures on my phone that I took.

I had a very similar experience with a few of those exact same seeds planted several years ago.
Every female seemed to autoflower, indoors, under 20+ hours of T5 light.
I don't recall the plants structure but certainly the auto trait stood out with those as it was completely unexpected.
Glad to know mine weren't just a fluke pack but sorry to hear they're still listed as photo plants.

Hi,
Thank you for lending further insight into this mystery. I just did some more research and I found this....

It seems we are not the only ones that have had this happen.

Thanks for the link. I hadn't seen it yet.

May have to put the remainder of my beans in the corn patch & see how the poles grow again.
