Day 42 PM

So I thought I had the PM under control. I have a total of 9 plants and it had clearly affected 2 bubbas early into flowering. I used neem oil in early flowering on these 2 plants - didnt really do anything.

Now, all of my plants seem to be infected. None of them really smell good and when you smell the buds there is definitely a moldy smell to them. It has started to become visible in my green crack now as well. So now there are a total of 3/9 plants with visible PM while 8/9 plants now smell moldy. I am a personal user so will not be devastated if forced to sacrifice but scrapping the whole crop would certainly be pretty depressing after all this invested time and money.

P.S: i know the precautionary steps and tried to take them. I already have PM and know how to try and circumvent it but the point is that I have it. Any suggestions on what to do?

Try Dr. Doright's, Serenade (possibly the cheapest, but stinks like hell, the other two smell like garlic), or Safer Gro Mildew Cure.

I just did a preventative with serenade (to prevent bud rot etc.), and my plants haven't reacted negatively.

Thanks, I have heard very mixed reports about Serenade but ill look into the other ones you mentioned. Also, regarding sulphur burners, I have heard they are a good preventative measure and help subdue expansion but they do not eliminate PM. I plan on stopping after this grow, scrapping all my plants and cleaning everything. I am 99% sure the person that sold me the bubba clones is @ fault and gave me infected cuts...

Two questions: for personal use what is wrong with smoking buds that have PM? I feel like combustion would kill any mold and even if not it shouldn't be too bad for human consumption. Also, I assume making hash would be a viable option?

Reading a bit, it looks like serenade is probably your best bet. It looks like it works well and can be applied the day of harvest.

I don't think you can eliminate with sulphur. It looks like it works by changing the pH of the leaf surface which prevents growth. SM-90 should work for killing it, from what I'm reading.

It looks like you can make them into hash. I'm not sure what exactly the risks of smoking PM are, I have a feeling respiratory irritation and sickness could result.

Oh, you might want to turn off the oscillating fans until you can get it under control.

Oscillating fan has been running for a while now since I first spotted it on the bubba plants =/ I feel now that its already all contaminated by now anyways. Hopefully I won't have to sacrifice most of the crop to hash but it wouldn't be the end of the world. Good learning experience for next time.

I guess tomorrow I will go to the hydro store and give one of these a try

Yeah, let's hope it works! In the meantime, you could spray with dilute hydrogen peroxide to try to kill some off (dilute if it's 35% solution - I think 5 ml per gallon). I believe you can use straight 3% solution.

Oh, and baking soda + water as a preventative on the ones that aren't showing PM, or isolate the infected ones.

You'll want to pluck off the leaves that are showing white powder, but bag them before you pull them so you don't knock spores in the air.
