Day 37 help

Well it always seems like in all of my grows something fucks up at the end..My $200 ppm meter broke and i got spidermites. I have TrainWreck and White Widow and at day 37 they look like they are almost done..Buds are 'ok' size and red hairs are popping everywhere to my dissapointment. Can spidermites damage a plant so much that they start to progress in flowering very quickly?

Spidermites can damage your crops so fast that you won't have any harvest come harvest day.

I'd reccommend you get that under control ASAP. Neem Oil works, or so they say.

Nate, ive had to deal with an identical situation. Those mites arent going to leave. Here is what I recommend...Spray with organocide or neem and then wipe down the leaves with a moist napkin or paper towel.

PROBLEM: You want to be able to smoke your herb. Herb covered in neem or other pesticide is dangerous and not tasty. But if you dont spray (while trying to avoid spraying the buds) you will, as homeless says, never harvest anything.

To answer your Q: Spider mites can rapidize the maturation because of the stress they inflict upon the plant. This stress induces maturation bc of the plant sensing imminent death and the responsibility to reproduce becomes paramount.

I baught some of those Predator mites...my hydro store guy told me thats basicly my only option...Spraying shit on my plants make my bud, well, shit. I was thinking about that baking soda, lemon juice, apple juice mix..then spray with cold wateer afterward..But see, spraying ANYTHINNG liquid on them now can cause major mold..MORE ADVISE PLEASE! Is predator mites my only option without damaging taste/smell/chances of mold?
I also lowered my nutrients down to like 200-500 becuase i figure when they are under lots of stress they wont be using much nutrient, they seem to be producing more and more white hairs every day since i decided to snip most of the leaves with lots of spidermites on them..gonna make that apple cider vinegaer, baking soda, and dish soap mix and try that..i guess alittle mold is better than a ruined crop.

I'd pop a couple no pest strips in there and kill the mites.

You'll still have days of flower to let the plants recover in a pesticide free environment.

If you continue bloom cycle put some Revive from Advance in there...after the bomb to kill the Mites...good luck and let us know how you did...
thanks

I've got a very similar problem I am too on day 37, and I've started to see these things and a few leaves are getting brown spots, etc. I noticed it a day ago and and today it's much worse, so I removed the leaves that looked the worst. I plan on getting the hot shot pest strips because I have heard they work very well and I don't have time to wash each individual leaf. I have an A/C in my room so it keeps temps low thankfully..

My question is can I use the strips up to the time I harvest and will it not affect taste and smell? What are the drawbacks (if any) from using these?

Good luck with your problem, these things suck.
