i understand that but the seeds hold much value for you to extract in future crops as well... you can collect some of that precious pollen and feather dust a lower flowering branch ... done !!

I must admit that the idea is very appealing. I would need to find a way to isolate that male though. Real estate is at a premium, although I do have a large purpose built room nearing completion. I could flower it out in there, collect pollen and then get rid of it. I have enough spare lights I could use as well. Ok, now I'm just thinking out loud... LOL!

I'm just worried I end up pollinating all my girls. I need the extra income the final product brings in.

A friend of mine takes a bread bag (long, thin, sealed on one end) and dusts the inside with pollen. He does this part outside the plant space. Then he takes the bag and wraps it around 1 branch, and seals the open end with tape or whatever. That way, he can grab plenty of seeds, but not affect the rest of the grow.

It's like a reverse condom lol.

males could not be easier to care for till they drop pollen... they need very little light or food ... just isolate the male ..he needs very little room...peace and good growing 2 u :)

Hey

Hey

Ok here's the darlins I started 2 weeks ago from seed. GDP is the smaller. I should of already had them in frowbags. Just my situation was limited to very little space. I now have another bulb. So space is plentiful. They have big broad leaves on their 3rd note. I think their on the 4th or 5 node by now. The GDP reminds me of dj short crinkle and leaf structure on a few. This's the only other colored I've grown other than all of dj short gear. So I asummw they all do until I'm told diff. Will be going in sacks tomorrow. The cuts will. The seedlings won't until they're sex'd
Thanks

Pollen is quickly deactivated by water so controlling it is pretty easy. I've had no problem at all doing controlled pollination of a few lower branches in my crowded outdoor grow with no affect on my upper buds. Maybe I'm just lucky, but if not, doing it indoors should be even easier.
If it goes awry having some seed in the bud that adds a lot of weight.
You might be able to make some moolah off of the seeds, too.
Chuck pollen! Do it, its a good thing to do, you might end up with regrets if you don't and it will make your horny little girl plants sooo happy when you put it on them.

Ok, you guys have convinced me. LOL! I will give it a bash.

By the way, last night I opened up the cloner to some very sad looking clones. They were covered in aphids. So I sprayed them and the bigger girls with some neem. I will spray them again in a few days. I also up-potted the clones into 1 litre nursery pots. Tonight I will give them a dose of beneficial microbes.

Thank you, their a joy to grow. Very easy. I should of already had them out of the solo cups. But I've been cramped for space. Not sure why keep taking cuts! Lol. I guess I'm worried I'll loose it or won't have enough to fill up for each crop. Ha. They're going in 3 gal grow sacks tomorrow. Their spread out through the seedlings and new clones. But I centered the pic on most. Beside them is GDP, S Dub, chem, and gg4 not sure if you can see all. But these should be the 3rd harvest . Still have a ways to go on the first crop. But fan leaves are big on these darlins, I can see a bunch of pruning in their future. Lol, I like to do it that works out great.
The dog in my avatar is named Tank
he was my best friend and housedog for 16.5 years. Great temperament, very athletic and was like a son. We had to put him down abt 3 years ago. Prostate failure. I've had Bulldogs off an on since college. I have a 2 year old female this nov she'll be. She's beautiful, a lil aggressive with male strangers.
But any tips or suggestions of anything abt my plants will be greatly appreciated.
Sry for the rant
B

I don't know how it compares to GG#4, but my Dnets all have very thick and strong branching. Some of the strongest I've ever seen.

So do mine as seedlings have wide big fan leaves. I had to trim them so they'd all have room. I think they're going to be very sturdy thick plAnts. But I can def see them filling a room up.
