I modded a 12x24inch onto a door... works for me. Check my thread in my sig for more info. Never tried the round ones.

i will let you know right now that if you are going to use them, use the square and rectangular ones. i installed the round ones on my veg box and though they work great, i believe they are of lesser quality then the previously mentioned.

I use a 12"x24" darkroom louver for my flower room and it works great. More than enough air circulation. I also use the round ones youre talking about in my veg room. I put 6 of the circular louvers at the bottom of the room for intake and they work great. No light leaks and if enough of them are put in, you should have enough air circulation.

Theyre great in my opinion. Ive only used them for about a month but all is well so far. The only knock Ive heard on them so far is that over time they need to be cleaned but thats simple to do.

That's what I was looking for, thanks. I can't use the square ones without cutting up my tent.

Nice looking grow bartender.

I was just looking for some info on these and found this thread. I am planning on getting 2x 8x8" darkroom louvers for my next cab. Good info, thanks guys.

They work great. Both the 8x8 and up and the (so far) 4" circles. The 8x8's are heavy duty plastic and the 4"ers are a light aluminum.

The 8x8's are a more complex with multiple traps and I'm sure 100% while the 4" circles are a little less complex with grates and a simple trap. The 4" work great in a small box I just set up, but I mylared right over them on each side.

Anyone know if the actual part that goes through the wall is 8x8" or the entire louver is 8x8"? I called Adorama and they weren't sure. I'm thinking of cutting the holes ahead of time to get this project moving but don't want to make the wrong size hole. If anyone knows it would be appreciated.

I would have some patience since this is one of those things you want to be pretty sure of. Since this isn't one of those things in a project that is dependent on anything else, I would hold off regarding cutting before you're sure about the size.

Sauce: It is an 8x8 but the last layer hangs on the outside of the cab.

So yes, that actual part, about 3/4"-1" of it goes in a 8x8 hole, then the lip sits on the outside. Just makes it look clean really.

Thanks for the help stretchpuppy. I am going to cut 8x8" holes into 2 pieces so please say something if this is incorrect.

I know I should be patient but I am installing these in a new cab. Since I live in apt I can not cut anything in here with a saber saw, everything I cut is going to be done at my parents house. Before I can start building the cab I need to take the disassembled parts over there to be cut, then haul everything over to my place to be built.
