Dark Green Leaf Edges With Yellow Inside.

Hi, I am having a problem with the new growth of my leaves and i'm not sure of the cause of this is. The new growth is thinner than normal, kind of has a shiny look to the leaves, and is dark green towards the tips abnd edges but more yellow in the middle and bottom of the leaves.

Kind of like this https://i.imgur.com/N006u.jpg but the other way around and the tips of a normal leaf color.

I'm thinking it's either high ph, needs more nutrients, or there is just something wrong with my water.

I would just flush but not sure what the ph of the water should be.

I appreciate any help.

It's impossible to tell you without knowing a few things.
Are you in soil or hydro?
Are you feeding? If so what nutes?
Also a picture of the problem and not a photo of the opposite to you're problem.

Without knowing these things no one can help you

I don't have a camera to take pictures, and im growing organically.
Im pretty sure nutes are not the problem, but it's possible they may need more.

I really just need to know if this is a symptom of low or high ph.

Get a testing kit. That's the only way you're gonna find out.

you in hydro or soil?

Magnesium or potassium both cause similar leaf edge problems when the ph is off causing lockout.

Magnesium
Soil

Magnesium gets locked out of soil growing at ph levels of 2.0-6.4
Magnesium is absorbed best in soil at a ph level of 6.5-9.1 . (Wouldn’t recommend having a ph of over 7.0 in soil) anything out of the ranges listed will contribute to a Magnesium deficiency.

Hydro and Soil less Mediums

Magnesium gets locked out of Hydro and Soil less Mediums at ph levels of 2.0-5.7
Magnesium is absorbed best in Hydro and Soil less Mediums at ph levels of 5.8-9.1
(Wouldn’t recommend having a ph over 6.5 in hydro and soil less mediums.) Best range for hydro and soil less mediums is 5.0 to 6.0. Anything out of the ranges listed will contribute to a Magnesium deficiency.

potassium
Problems with Potassium being locked out by PH troubles
Soils with excessive Leeching and High ph soils and or water.Soils that are potassium fixated. An excess of kitchen salts (sodium) in the root system/enviroment.

Soil

Potassium gets locked out of soil growing at ph levels of 4.0-5.5
Potassium is absorbed best in soil at a ph level of 6.0-9.5. (Wouldn’t recommend having a ph of over 7.0 in soil) anything out of the ranges listed will contribute to a Potassium deficiency.

Hydro and Soil less Mediums

Potassium gets locked out of Hydro and Soil less Mediums at ph levels of 4.0-4.5, 6.0-6.5.
Potassium is absorbed best in Hydro and Soil less Mediums at ph levels of 4.7-5.3, 6.7-8.5. (Wouldn’t recommend having a ph over 6.5 in hydro and soil less mediums.) Best range for hydro and soil less mediums is 5.0 to 6.0. Anything out of the ranges listed will contribute to a potassium deficiency.

CHECK THE SICK PLANT STICKY ABOVE!

In Hydro I peg my ph at 5.7-5.8 and let it drift up to 6.2 before I re adjust back down. Ph from 5.5 to 6.5 is acceptable but you will get deficiencies if you don't allow them to drift up and readjust.

I soil you need to water at a higher ph than in hydro but I know zero about that anymore. I used to add dolomite lime back in the day to keep my ph good and didn't do anything else....
