Damn cops should I worry?

So I had a run in with the fuzz. I know I made some amature mistakes and I know what I did wrong.

I was driving down the road and my front license plate had broke off 2 days ago and I had not replaced it yet (first mistake), here comes johnny law the other way and turns around to follow. He pulls me over and tells me I have any registration either (second mistake not being on top of it)

He asks if I have smoked weed, I say no, he asks if I have smoke a while ago, no. Then He asks if there is any in the car. NO.

I live in MA and supposedly they can not search your car for the smell of burn MJ. HE tells me MJ is not a big deal in the state and only a ticket under an Oz but if he searchs it will be more.

I grow herb and I was pulled over right on the out skirts of my town by a statie. I was not trying to make a scene so I gave him my jar with about a 1/4 in it ( i know I know never give it up, # 3)

He askes where I got it from and I tell him a random town and a random name because he asks..

HE writes me a ticket for the car stuff and then a $100 pot ticket and then informs me a tow truck is on the way and he needs to "inventory my car" even thought it was going to go back to my house. I asked why and he got snippy. Fuckers.....

When all was said and done I got towed to my house, no cop following, cost $200 bucks and a bunch of tickets I get to now fight and it fucked my whole plans for the week.....Fuckers....

Anyway my question I know this may seem parodied but does anyone think they will look at my house. I have no house traffic, i get rid of my own garbage but have nothing grow related in their anyway (compost, compost, compost) and my power bill is not bad 2600W total in 2 bedroom.

I wish I stood my ground more, I was thinking this might of been the best move as most cops just dump the herb, he was being a dick head. I hope so I feel violated and nervous this gung ho cop will investigate more.

Fun fact about the MA tickets for possession under 1 oz... as a civil citation there's no enforcement mechanism.

How did he know you had weed in your car? Did you let him search? Or did you just voluntarily offer up to him that you had weed in the car?

And in my state, in Australia, they find over 28 grams of weed on you or in your car, they will have a warrant written for your house pretty f'n quickly.

I wouldn't worry about it.Those state cops are intimidating but they won't take it any further.They must have sold a ton of confiscated drugs though because they sure are rolling in some heavy duty new rides.Whenever I see those guys I shiver! The new vehicles look like space ships with all the gear they have.You just have to remember that when you step into your vehicle you waive all of your rights.Be carefull!!!

was your car registered to this house? that is the only major connection if they want to try. but since it was only 1/4oz i doubt that is enough to get a search warrant. if they pulled clones or grow equipment out of the trunk than it might be enough.

Well my deepest apologies for handing out terrible advice.The last time I checked driving was a privelage not a right and the minute you pull out onto that road you have to be very carefull.I know that the cops will take full advantage of any weakness they may percieve.My only intent was to say lots of people are busted on the road, perhaps even more than crazy girlfriends and all it takes is a light bulb to blow out and some sticky fingers.In Massachusetts you can't even ride a bike stoned or drunk.I can't count the times I've seen people pulled over out here with all their shit piled up on the road and 3 cops up in their business.I guess all I'm saying is be carefull when you drive because it can be the gateway to trouble...

If you have to go get it, go straight home in a car you have checked out BEFORE you leave home to make sure it is legal (registered, inspected, insurance current and paper in car)and no lights are out including license plate lights and brake lights - even in the day just in case. Good tires aired up correctly, water and oil checked, cleaned out of trash and washed recently.Dirty cars give cops a hard on hoping they can get a drinking or dope bust. Tell them you don't have time for them to search and if they bring a dog, follow the dog handler around the car and keep your eye on the dog at all times in case they make the fog "hit" or say it does when it doesn't. some dogs are just family pets they come up with to use to cheat you. No wee- no bust - and even a ticket puts you on their radar. They can DNA weed and if they bust it somewhere else and get the same DNA then you are tied to the other person - if that person doesn't spill the beans about you...

I'm sorry, but, when was the last time a fucking cop 'let' you follow them anywhere?

One time, at band camp, in a far away land, there was this guy see. He sold some electrical household goods on craigslist, one's which he had purchased at name this big box store....

Well, either coincidence, or by intention, I never knew, a sgt. of the local policia force comes to buy some of these items.

The guy and the cop chop it up, nervous on the inside, on the exterior, however, the epitome of calm, from what I understand.

The cop inquires about something else, guy goes to get it.

He looks back, fucking cop, hand on the pistola, FOLLOWING him.

Moral of the story, you're not going to follow a cop and his dog, which has, literally, more rights than us lowly citizenry, around whilst they search your car.

OP, you got off with a nerve racking warning.

If you don't hear it in your head already, Step UP your game, yo.

I would roll out. I got pulled over with just a tiny amount of weed went to jail. Had quite a large grow op too at the time. 7 months later blamo door comes down. Masked pig brings back that night. Blah blah. But if your in a med state no worries

not in mass. unless they thought you were a dealer ,grower. simple possession there gen ends with the fine. I am ex masshole and got lots peeps there. nev er seen a simple possession go further.if they thought you were a grower or dealer than it might become an issue. I know lots of folks got popped for simple. mass has always generally been lax with possession. they want you fine money . beats drug classes and probation like it used to be. pay them man an move on . don't get lax but I wouldn't worry

depends if the cop thought that a jar of high grade weed was home grown you might be fucked. cops aren't as dumb as we hope, weed in a jar is a red flag for a cop I would think. I live in western, ma and the newer generation/younger cops are well educated in our culture from media exposure or from their own experience so you need to be more careful. how bad in fines did you get in total? mass is all about purging your soul for money

I think when it comes to getting raided locally or by the state a lot of it comes down to how flashy you are. And it definitely matters if there's hard drugs present too. I've seen a lot of small time hard drug dealers get everything they have seized on the spot well bigger pot dealers lose very little. At least in my area. I always recommend putting cars, property etc. in other peoples name.
