damaged cotyledon

Hello, so I started this seed about 8 days ago, and noticed yesterday that one of the cotyledons had been eaten away a little. I was wondering if this damaged cotyledon would dampen the seeds full potential over its life time. I was thinking that it may stunt it ever so slightly, but I thought i should ask. Thank you.

Check for Aphids and treat if found.. Does not look bad right now but if left to infest they can do alot of damage.
