I noticed on the youtube vids that the people who were doing the co2 bottles also had a 2nd bottle that had the bubble every so many secs , But they were being used for fish tanks or something

My question is since im obviously not doing a diy co2 for a fish tank and its gonna be for my girls do i have to have that 2nd bottle or can i just use the 1 bottle ( 1/2 gal / maybe 1 gal dont know yet ) but can i just use the 1 bottle with my tubing going to my girls ?

Thanks in advance fellas

Just a guess. But I would assume one bottle holds baking soda and the other vinegar? The vinegar bottle would be the "dripper" ??

No no no its bakers yeast warm water and sugar... and yes your gona want the second bottle its for vac.. so u don't get nasties all over ur floor and it keeps forign shit out of ur yeast and kill it.. for te trouble it is its not really worth the head ach honestly I was messin with one for a min but gave up trying to keep the plants the wife and some fucking yeast happy... but if u got plenty of time on ur hands than go for it but to answer ur question yes you do need the other bottle... plus it tels you if u need to feed the yeast or swap out some of the water cause the alchol content will get to strong after few days and kill it that way too... good luck and stay safe...

the second bottle is full of water and the tubing goes down into the water, its a counter, it shows you how much co2 is being produced.

it also keeps the crap from spilling on the floor.

i have tried every possible home co2 setup i could find years ago. they all were a waste of time IMHO the most fun was brewing beer for co2. didnt help the plants one bit but made me happy. i put a hose in the airlocks and fed it to back of fan. when bubbles slow start another batch .the higher than alcohol the better. you can buy cheap airlocks easilly and dont need the second bottle.

Thanks superman

Im not using that Co2 bottle now , i hooked up a 240 cfm inline duct fan to suck in fresh air from outside and into my closet

I let it run for about 15 to 30 mins every couple of hours

Im trying out vert for the first time and have my grow closet set up differently now

So now im just trying to figure out the best way to utilize my closet with what i have

If you would not mind maybe you could stop by the vert section and check out the link in my thread to the vid i posted showing how i have it set up now

Any suggestions is greatly appreciated

co2 really need to be applied with science not guesswork.if you cant maintain good levels your pissing in the wind my friend. pumping in unknown amounts every few hours wont get you where you want to be. i hear alot of folks claiming success doing that. but in reality they prob had serious co2 deffiency and the extra co2 brought it back to better levels. but have fun playing its how you learn. me i got a bottle co2 setup and a propane generator.improving you intake and exhaust would prob be better than an half assed co2 setup.IMHO
