cutting off leaves before they've grown

will there be any serious adverse effects of cutting off a leaf or two when they are really small and still growing? to alter the recognisable shape of the whole leaf?

That is one thing I would NEVER ever reccomend; small plants need all the leaves they can get at a small stage; they need them to help grow. You would cause stress to the plant;

What are you trying to do make it look not like a pot plant?

for the short term. perhaps i could just reshape the leaves. but if the plant doesnt put much energy into the leaf tips then it shouldnt slow it down to much?

I would leave all leaves alone period if you want a healthy plant. DO not grow if you are trying to grow in an area you are not allowed to grow in.
How old are you anyways? You sound like you are around 16 to 20........

I agree with Stitch. It would be a very bad idea to cut seedlings at all. Why do you need to disguise them and from who?

its not the growing of the plant its the vegging upto a certain point where it will be able to survive on its own which means i need to veg indoors or perhaps outdoors which still means im need to discuise the plant as best as possible and thought perhaps cutting/ reshaping a few leaves will allow me to achaive this without to much stress to the seedling/s

Sounds like a bad idea to me, if there's such a risk of getting caught?

forget about it; it won't work your growth will be slow; those leaves are holding cells for food and they need them to produce photosynthesis....

Bend yur plant over like LST style. Get yourself a couple plastic or silk plants with fake flowers and decorate the pot plant with the fake leaves & flowers.
I've actually managed to hide plants in my garden outside from folks that know all too well what MJ plants look like. LOL

Problem is with that; you do that you end up blocking out much needed light the plant needs..... so either way you will not end up getting a fully healthy plant doing it like all the info given in this thread....
