cut off leaves during flowering?

hey i'm a new grower, this is my first go round, and i was wondering. my growspace is kinda limited, and i thought i had heard before that cutting off leaves to let more light down to the lower buds was a good idea. i wanted to know if thats a good idea or bad. i thought it might help my light efficiency, but i wasn't quite sure. i'm about 3.5 weeks into flowering, and the plants are real healthy.

It might stress the plants (causing them to hermie), or slow flowering down. It's like removing an energy source (that's why they yellow & die toward the end of flowering). Try just tucking the leaves to the side if they're in the way of the light.

hey bro although i tend to agree with ganja on this one. from personal recent exp...
there are many exp. growers who not only say it is better but also say it increases yield..
there are a few very lengthy threads about this what ive gathered is that
you should definately have your strain dialed in as if your plant has a mobile nutrient deficiency it can rob it from your fan leaves and continue growing whereas without those fan leaves(storage centers) you would realize a fast change in plant health.
and also there are many variables to strains and breeds that could very feasibly make it good for some and not others. regardless it is not something i would reccomend to inexp. or newer growers

also either way it never hurts to experiment a little just a little you could try it a little in one sq ft of your grow and find out if it works you.

ive always thought that a plant would grow best without cutting like it would naturally.. but i think ive realized that maybe there isnt something too natural about growing plants with lightbulbs so who knows
