Hey ICmag.

So I want to buy the bulkheads used in current culture setups. I have found a few sources to buy them but have been getting conflicting information.

My local hydro store says the bulkheads still use uni seals? Is this true? I thought it was a simple thread lock design with a rubber o ring.

Any advice would be great. Thanks.

Question here ! Why not using uniseal ?

I own about 25 1.5" uniseals. They do not work all the time on rounded surfaces like a common 5 gallon bucket. Some seal, some leak, and so on.

I cant begin to describe how infuriating it is when you assembly an entire system, fill it with 40+ gallons of water, and discover a ever so small leak on one or two of the buckets. You know how hard it is feeding pipe into uniseals, especially when connecting 10 buckets? It takes all the energy out of me.

Im done with them and need something rock solid.

The user snype has done some interesting work with using different PVC and electrical parts to build manifolds.....but I really just want current cultures bulk heads and be done with everything.

But then the hydro employee told me they still use uniseals....my jaw dropped but those guys are some what full of shit on a lot of topics.
