Curling under and kinda thin.....

well, i recently chopped a few males but to be completely honest i think i may have cut too early and may have a snagged a female by misjudgement but i guess ill never know. any how, i have 2 females both showing beautiful hair color and both are WW. they were curling up a bit but one seems to have overcome that phase and looks to be growin in nice and new. as for the other...it hasnt bounced back yet. any takers? not overwater im hoping cause i dont think i can really fix that with this setup. well the pictures are in the gallery, still cant get these pictures on here with the message; is that because i dont have enough posts or something? anyways as always, thanks in advance for any help i get.

can you take a picture of it without the hps on? also answer the questions below...

Looks more like your ppms are to high, you using high amounts of nitrogen? a lot of times over fert mainly nitrogen will cause the claw look and curling like that; but can't be sure until I know more info about your grow.

HYDROPONICS:

What Technique are you using?
What substrate/medium are you using?(Hydroton, RockWool etc.)
What is the Nutrient temperature?
What Nutrient's are you using?
What is the TDS/EC/PPM you are using?
What is the pH of the "Tank"?
Are you sure your calibration is correct on your equiptment?
When was your last watering?
When was your last feeding change? (ie. grow-bloom-micro-additional)
What size bulb are you using?
What is the distance to the canopy?
What is your RH Factor?

What is the Day/Night Temp? (Include flucutaion range)
What is the current Air Flow? (cfm etc.)

420cardholder,
Is this that same hybrid dwc/fog/top drip system from the other thread ?
http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=71856

Have you taken out the fog generator and the circulation water pump etc, as I had suggested ?

I guess you're still running the top drip 24/7 instead of on cycles ?

Hows your res temps doing now ?

How long have the plants been in 12/12 ?

Running a 2-2-2 ratio or what with the gh flora series ?

80 to 90*f is a pretty hot canopy temp btw.

Wallyworld and other stores sell cheap two dollar aquarium thermometers that would work great for you to monitor the res temps. We do need to know your res temps. In hydro, especially in DWC it is critical to know what the temps are, room and res.

I thought he had posted a previous thread; I just forgot to ask him when I copied and pasted the questions........

10k,
it is the same system yes.
i did take the fogger and extra pump out of the reervoir.
replaced them with 2 18" curtains powered by 2 pumps that are made for 30-60 gallon systems.
24hr topfeed drip has been off for a few days; just turned them back on last night.
been on 12/12 for 12 days counting today
res temps are low....cold to the touch.
no, i didnt do the 2-2-2 i just went straight to the 1-2-3 since i already introduced the plants to it before you suggested that. ill give that a whirl my next go round.
yea 80-90 degrees is hot...i dont see how though cause the room is set to 70 and i have exhaust fans and 2 fans blowing at all times. thermometer is sittin right on the lid with the plants. i put my hand underneathe and it doesnt feel hot at all. i dont know how to fix that. plants seem to be doing ok other than the curling up.
and again ppm's are at 1000 and ph is about 6.
what do i do?!?!?!
thanks 10k you always seem to come through and scoop me up.

oh and btw....my res temp is about 77 degrees F. does anyone know a quick equation to convert from celcius to farenheit without looking it up so i could do it quickly in my head?

subtract 32, multiply by 5/9 then you have your metric conversion. if my calculations are correct (its too early), 77 degrees F = 25 degrees C
