Definitely ash, the burl is always something exceptional. What is the king of burly woods is imo the Buckeye Burl. Do you have the actual pictures of them?

i've seen another one i forget exactly.. it had something special about all the 'eyes' in the wood. maybe that was the burl? i dunno exactly.
