Crowded Grow Room - Thinking about Flowering outside

I am at day 30 of flowering. I have 12 plants from clone: 3 Hells Angels's OG, 3 Skywalker OG , and 6 Valley OG(no not SFV, though i was in the SFV when i bought them). i am running a top feed drip system on a timed pump, feed to waste. 6 inch rockwool sitting on top of Hygromite. im running 2 600w hps lamps/8" aircooled hoods. i am very happy with my results so far as my buds are starting to develop nicely.

My "problem" is that my grow area is becoming overcrowded. I am also worried my plants will get too tall for my lights as they are close to max height. I have been super-croping the main stems to keep them down and get the lower growth to excel.

What i "want" to do, or at least just crossed my mind, was to very carefully take out 4(maybe 3,maybe 2) of the Valley OG plants and move them outside to finish flowering. i then want to evenly space the rest of the plants under the lights, now with more room, so i can open them up (with string ties or something) so all the bud sites can get access to light.

My friend that has more experience than i, says im too late in the game to do so. He said i will cause transplant shock no matter how careful i am in doing this, and that any benefit i would gain from doing this whole thing would be negated by the time wasted in healing from the shock.

oh, and i live in so cal so im not worried about the weather.

i would love to hear any opinions as to what i should do. if no one tells me to straight up go for it.... then im probably gonna just keep them all inside and keep on pruning.... thanks

the lighting got weird on the panorama app i used.... all plants are the same color... the ones in the center aren't way more green like the pic shows..

thanks for the advice. i read that thread.. good info..... Ive been pruning and its manageable... but i guess i could do more

... i really wanted to know more about what people thought of moving outside.. specifically during this time of the year in socal...

i agree with what you say about BS books from cannabis gurus... but i think you should do a little more homework on photosynthesis vs respiration.... i dont want to get into it.. but "the fact is plants(c3) grow the most at night...." is simply incorrect.

and given the same light source... how is it even possible to provide the the same sum amount of photons from 18 to 24?

Actually, it's you that probably needs to do your "homework"....not to mention that's my signature, not a response to you. You can start here-

Read all of Spurrs posts in that thread.

wow... that thread was a waste of time..... keep on riding spurr's yock... and regurgitate everything he says, even though YOU have know idea what hes talking about, might be good to cut and paste... then put it in your sig......... your plants will benefit....

this was my favorite part...

I told you how to control DLI many times in this thread, maybe you missed it because it was inside bigger posts, but I did tell you. And I also fully explained DLI too, like on page 3. Please, re-read my posts in this thread.

I will try to explain it again (for the last time):

DLI is the sum of light per day, it is found using PPFD (Photosynthetic Photon Flux Density); the number of photons within PAR range [400-700 nm] striking an area of 3'x3' per second. However, use of Lux or lumens can be used to find DLI but it's more inaccurate by around 5-15% because of the inaccuracy of converting from Lux or lumens to PPFD.

To increase DLI you can do two things: (1) increase irradiance (light intensity at canopy measured as a single instance, ex. per second); or (2) increase the hours of day light.

Like I wrote to you twice, your setup (with 400w and 250w) has lower PPFD (irradiance) than other gardens with higher wattege lamps (all else being equal such as proper distance to canopy which affects irradiance).

To increase your DLI while also decreasing your hours per day, so you are able to give you plants a night, simply increase the irradiance by: (a) moving your lights closer to the canopy; or (b) using bigger wattage lamps.............

............ If you don't believe me that plants do best when they have a night time (for light-independent reactions) I hope you will believe NASA!
Nasa!! And there you have it folks. God damn why is it that people like you always bring up Nasa?

So the simplified version of your huge break through.....are you ready for it folks....."move your lights closer" or get a bigger light!

Why god damn, why the fuck didn't I think of that.

OK champ tell you what, once you have some yields and pics that can impress people come back and try to educate us, till then you are a joke.

Yeah, Im sure some idiot like yourself who has like 5 posts here, and thinks the world is going to end if you take your plants outside is really educated in botany. Beat it, toolbag.

Hey. If your gonna trnsplant them in the ground just cut the bottoms of the pots out the roots will grow down into the ground. No transplant shock.
