Critique my watering technique, please

I had a lot of problems with my last grow because of my misunderstanding of PH, watering/feeding schedules. Please help me as I move on to my next grow:

I use Fox Farm-line soil and nutes. This includes FFOF soil with a perlite mix of about 20%.

1. My tap water PH is around 8. Each and every time I water, I would PH-down to 6.5.

2. I would feed once a week with Fox Farm feeding schedule. These would always be bottle-prescribed quantity of nutes for moderate feeding.

3. I water when the top inch or so of soil feels dry.

4. When I flush, i additionally PH-adjust to 6.5 for the flush.

Looks pretty good to me, however #3 should be avoided. It's better for the plant and more accurate to water by weight of the container. Fill up the same size container your plant is in with the same soil mix and use that as a 'control' to weigh against your plant, this will give you a good idea of when its dry and time to water.

Hey bro dont water to Fox Farms "bottle" feeding. That's not the right way to do it.
Use the feeding schedule below, start out at 1/2 strength and make your way up to full strength SLOWLY.
Also note: Dont water until the pot is LIGHT. you dont want to water when the top inch is dry because that means everything else below it is still wet.
If your plants are still vegging you can starve them of water and it will promote root growth. Once you let dry for awhile, feel a pot and it should be nice and light. Once you water, pick up the pot and you'll know what "heavy" feels like.
Good luck hope I was to your assistance

Careful with the tap water too. FoxFarm uses mostly organic fertilizers and your plant depends on the microbes that the nutes provide.

Chlorine and Chloromines in the tap water can be harmful to the beneficials. And those beneficials are the ones that feed your plants.

Just don't forget to let your water sit out for 24 hours to let the chlorine evaporate.

Iv been using beastie bloomz since week 2 of flower and will continue till week 6 when i begin my flush and water only with molasses. The bud sites are ridiculous. I just run 1/2 tbsp of beastie 5ml tiger bloom and 5 ml bcuzz bloom every third watering with piranha and sugar daddy in between those watering's.

END OF WEEK THREE AFTER 45 DAY VEG

I agree with using the weight theory for watering.Get a feel for it and you will be fine. You should buy a soil moisture meter for like $10 bucks and this will give you a good indication of when your plants will need to be watered next. It also allows you to know whether you are watering the full container evenly and not creating air pockets.

Peace,
Jazz
