Crispy leaves! Please help!

First post. I have a 10x10 garden and keep noticing that my fan leaves are drying out and crisping up. Can anyone help me on what I'm doing wrong so this doesn't happen anymore? Any tips are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

ok so i get roots from the cloner in 10 days or so, i then transplant to a red cup with pro mix and lightly water with veg nutes, then a week later i transplant the red cup into a 5g pot and veg for the remaining 2-3 weeks then flower, i have 1000k and it is 14-18in from the top of the plant, i have ran into this problem a few times and want to resolve it asap, the fan and sugar leaves are the ones crisping up and drying, the rest of the plant however is still green and healthy until around weeks 5-7 when they start to naturally yellow a small amount. the top growth is good but my tops are not as large as i want them but i have learned through a different post that i was training them wrong. any opinions would be greatly appeciated. Thanks a lot! i will post pics when i get home later today

This is only a guess, and may not even be a good guess, but I think that what's bolded is your problem.

What are you vegging them with, lighting-wise?

I would have tried to help you yesterday, but without a good description or pictures, it's impossible.

I get that when my bulbs are too close. Try to keep the bulb min 2' away minimum. I have to run sativas under 600w at 2' or else i get white/yellow, crispy fan leaves. Try hanging a temp probe at your canopy but try to shade it from the light behind leaves if you can, its more accurate to test in the shade.

im having that problem (sort of) due to low humidity

If its an issue of RH you will have leaf taco-ing.

Another factor is pH, your 5gal plants should be drying out completely every other day, if not you should water less than more and/or add 4x. 1/2" holes around each pot. If your pH is high you get yellowing and slow uptake. Can also drag out your flower time.

Re: Crispy leaves! Please help!

The leaves doing the drying and crisping... Can you elaborate on the colors and order you see them? Evenly yellow from bottom -> dry -> crisp is different than just the tops bleaching blonde -> dry -> crisp
