just been watching some footage of this years festival? if you can call it that,,,,i imagine the boroughs of Kensington and Chelsea will be virtually empty this weekend,,,,,
such a middle ta upper class event now with prices to match and a shit list of performers imo,,,,,,,
will daltrey chuck his toys out of his pram if he smells "cannabis"? I doubt it very much considering that those closest to the stage are celebs,,whilst the rest of the crowd are behind a fence and security,,,,,
that bit really pisses me off,,,,,celebs stage front,, dancing away and looking back at the "sardines" trying but failing to do the same,,,,,
starting to think that "proper" bands and artists are starting to realize the Emily eavis is all about the money and the spirit of a once great festival has become a corporate wank,,,,,
so very glad that kate bush didn't appear last year even after ms eavis chucked "everything including the kitchen sink" at her to perform,,,,,
for me,,only George Clinton including parliment,,funkedelic,, and family stone [no sly] are worth watching and they are playing in the afternoon with the possibility that most of the crowd wont even know who george Clinton is!,,,,,
any reggae bands playing anywhere this year at this "festival"?
Glastonbury is dead and has been for a few years....

Speaking from unhappy personal experience, nothing whatsoever would surprise me with Emily Eavis. The festival has been drifting that way for years and she has played a key part. The security wankers who they employ are beyond the imagination, one year they actually managed to employ the elite of the neo nazi skinhead blood and honour movement, but most of the others they have are actually far worse, if that gives you some idea...

If you like Reggae, I can highly recommend the Rototom festival in Benicassim in August. Originally an Italian festival that they had to move to Spain to escape Police harassment, the lineup is a who's who of Reggae, the largely Italian audience are great people, weed is smoked openly inside and at Rototom beach nearby, zero violence or bullshit, everyone I know who has been has loved it.

Couldn't agree more, the line up is usually utter shite, bands you'd run a mile to avoid and mostly trustafarians more concerned with looking good and selfies (apparently Canadian French calls them ego portraits - nice).
Gone are the days you could give a scouser a tenner and climb through the hole they'd dug in the fence for you
I know people say you don't go to a festival for the music but not a single band you'd want to see over 3 days, curfews, security and slebs?
Anyway, I want big riffs and heavy psychedelia

lead role in said movie is daltrey as mcvicer and hemdale pics who financed the movie were owned by the who and there management,,,,,
karma in full circle lol but sadly just a little daydream,,,,

I have a tiny bit of empathy for Kanye,,,,,cant be easy being married to a monster and trying to share a bed with such a huge "bottle and glass" must be a trial lol,,,,,,s2
