couple of questions ...

first off, let me start by saying this site has been a great experience for me. tons of awesome information and friendly people.

my first question is about the 90 degree black pvc pipes used as ventilation. are they completely light tight? i was thinking about seperating my cab horizontally with the top portion pulling air through these pvc pipes with computer fans mounted on the back of the box eliminating light leaks.

secondly, i was thinking about ditching the pvc and computer fans altogether and getting a nice centrifugal fan like the vortex or fantech. i only need around 200 cfm but i'm wondering if anyone has an opinion on which i should get. imo, the quiter the better so do any run really quiet??

and last but not least, i have two 125w 6500 k cfl's just sitting around. i know it's personal preference but should i sell them and get a 150hps or see what i can do with the 250 watts of cfl that i already have ??

are they actually 125w bulbs, or are they "equivalent to" 125w incandescent ? always use the lower figure on the package when referring to cfls. if you do, in fact, have 250w worth of cfl, they should do a pretty good job for you; probably worth a try since you already have them.

then go for it, dood . i use only 196 watts total (hps and cfl's) and i am growing more than i can smoke, even with my limited growing skills .
