Could there be a market for growroom odor sensors?

Many years ago I had to abandon a grow due to odor that I couldn't detect because I was acclimated, but my friends easily could. I can imagine this is a common issue.

Does anyone see a use for odor sensors outside of a growroom? It could be used in conjunction with a carbon filter to check when the filter needs to be changed.

Detecting non-volatiles that are likely to be found in cannabis odors is probably not possible with such a sensor. The things they generally detect are very reactive chemically. Just look at the huge difference in price and complexity between a CO meter and a CO2 meter. Artificial sniffers are really a science in it's infancy still. You're better off just having a friend check it or training a dog to give you some sort of hint that might not be obvious to others. Whatever you think you need for odor control, add more and you should be ok.
