Its gonna be tight in there with a standard light bulb fixture.... Unless you go with CFLs....

HID lighting will need to be cooled in that small of a space....

Any lamp will need to be cooled and he needs ventilation anyway. They make big ass cfls but, I think most cfl growers prefer the smaller ones in number.

Mr Micro Presents : The Nanomachine

Standing only 14" tall, 7" wide, and 15" long it is a growbox that can truly be used anywhere and everywhere to grow a small crop of cannabis. Completely light proof, completely smell proof, no strange cords or fans, and absolutely nothing that would give it away as a growbox.

I grew with one 2600 lumen bulb (42 watt, but they make 26 watt 2600 lumen cfls now).
Plop two 26's (2600 lumen bulbs) in, and you've got a show. Create a cool tube, and you'll be growing in no time. I vegged my lady for a long time, and she was a slow grower to begin with. 5 months of veg and just over 4 for flower, but I pulled out about 10 grams last run, then I had to get rid of the grow box because of some... bad... bad decisions.

Anything is do-able my friend, heat is public enemy number one. Just like richard nixon. (and most presidents from day one)

CFL lights are do-able, but make sure you use the right ones... 6500k for veg and 2700k for budding and try to get more than one if you can fit it in somehow. Socket splitter may be an option where you have twin sockets to support 2 bulbs instead of just one that you started with. Good Luck!
