Well here it is guys my modest grow...

Lighting :
2 2 bulb t-12 fixtures
2 600 watt hps

Soil :
Blazeoneup style later but at the beginning I used some sort of seed starting mix because water logged promix bales are a bitch.

Anyways Blazes recipie is
1 bag promix
1 bag miracle grow organic choice
1-1 1/2 cups of dolomite lime, blood meal, and bone meal

No other nutes to be used the whole time

Room :
12 x 6 if I remember correctly
5200 btu a/c (got to make a box for it soon)
Tarped off with panda poly

Plants :
All SDv3 Crosses, sprouted 40

Now for the part you've been waiting for...


We are going to go ahead and call this day one, even though its not.

And we will call this day 10, even though its not.

Had them in a ghetto setup at first with the floros really far away, because I was too lazy to set it up properly, that is what the stretching is from, if anyone wondered. its ok though I'm sure they will fill out. Am I the only person here who absolutely hates CFL lights?

Im going to be transplanting soon, but seriously is this how you guys mix your soil?



I hope that this isn't the easiest way to go about mixing some soil, cause it's a bitch.

mixing soil lol ... divide the mix into the number of sack of soil you got lol,, then open 1 mix in what you got for that sack and move on to the next one lol.

ie.
you got:

4 sacks of multi-purpose compost 80Ltrs each
40Ltrs of perlite
10Ltrs of worm castings
10Ltrs of sand

add 10Ltrs perlite,2.5Ltrs castings and 2.5Ltrs of sand to every sack mix it in with your hand in the sack turning it over in your hand/hands... not so messy then lmao

I usually will mix my soil and perlite in a big plastic rubbermaid container, i usually put like 9-10 gallons of soil in at once, then dump in about 20-25% perlite and mix it with my hands, doesn't take too long and i can fill several 3-5 gallon pots with a container.

Looking Good though, keep it up!

Ok update time...

I seriously have no idea what day of veg this is, maybe 20?

Just transplanted these not to long ago and did some work to the room. The carbon scrubber isn't running right now, but it isn't needed at the moment. I still have some plants in the cups I had them in before, because I ran out of soil. (I dread going and getting more, as its probably waterlogged to hell right now!)

That a/c is keeping things borderline too warm and I only have one 600 going!!
5200 btu must be for a dog house or something.

Temps stay around 85 lights on usually, Hopefully when i get some more fans and that scrubber running it will help things.

Still looking good. How old is the a/c? 5200 btu's should work, how big is that room? I used a 5000-6000btu a/c in a pretty big room with my 1000 and it worked great, then again it was almost brand new and my room is probably smaller than yours. If you can, try getting a fan that you can aircool the light with. The a/c will do a much better job is the light is being kept atleast semi-cool. Good Luck

The A/C is brand new, but I turned it off and back on after a little construction the other day and it seemed to work fine. I think that once I get the box made for it it will be able to cool better. Right now it exhausts out into the approximately 3 x 12 room behind that board and it gets pretty hot in there even with a fan on it and a window open. I think that if cooler weather or if I get my lazy ass in there and finish my ventilation plan it will work better.

And for aircooling.... Already on my wish list.

Couch Locked, please do post what works in getting your temps down. Im running a similar set-up with a window ac and cant get temps down past 85. And Im only using 1 600w and its air cooled.
By the way, nice crops so far

Pfft, I got my ventilation set up how I wanted, but it didn't really help. I'm running about 86 in there, so no help here

I'm going to totally redo it in a little while anyways when the air outside is cold and I can bring that air into the grow.... Gotta love winter.

So anyways the remaining seedlings I planted all in a half full container of some sort of small bag of soil with some amendments but we will see, I see a bleak future for them, lol.

The rest of the plants seem to be doing fine, and besides my temp issues all is well in Couch Locked's garden at the moment.
