Greetings & Live everyone!
It is my joy to share here what's been for me the discovery of 2019, although only tested this winter.
As I guess many of you, I enjoy spending time browsing ********** website, picking breeders at random and reading, learning about different strains.
That's how I happily stumbled on Pura Vida Seeds' Original Bri-Bri, which description did mor than just catching my attention:
"Original Bri Bri is a hybrid developed from different landrace genetics from the Talamanca mountainous area in Costa Rica.
Pura Vida's team of breeders have visited remote areas of Costa Rica to gather the genetics grown by the Huetar and Bri Bri tribes, which have been kept by their shamans in the heart of the jungle."
Waaaaah??? Cannabis kept and grown by the shaman/curanderos of some Central American tribes??
Tons of questions came to mind, what kind use do they make of it? Is it medicinal or is their some shamanic ritual involving the plant, with trancee-like and highly modified states of consciousness?
And how on Earth did the plant reach them? And most especially when? Hippe era? Digging of Panama canal? Or much much older??
Just fascinating, I had to know more so ordered some seeds, which i gave a try to this very last session.
Just one plant for a start, begun somewhat runty, not willing to grow for the first two weeks (I take that as a good omen, in my experience plants starting this way usually end as large to very large specimen) but later exploding in a beautiful totem pole with large buds, maybe too large as the apex was victim of some mold attack. The plant was pushed to 11 weeks, just dried with no curing the smoke has a very pleasant lemony flavour, a bit sour and earthy which should evolv nicely with time. Effect wise, the body load is so light that you sometimes actually don't feel your body anymore and can be quite spacey, hypnotic on the mind side. Can't wait for it to be righty cured!
enough yap, hre some pics, unfortunately forsome reason I didn't shot whole plants photos after th 8th week of flo.
Irie!
