Easy to figure out...

What do you pay per kW/h?

Price per kW/h * kW usage of device * Hours in a month

For me, that would be $0.13*0.03*720=$2.81 per month

My whole grow costs a hair below $25 a month. At max efficiency, I'd guess I can produce at least 3oz every 2 months, which would mean I pay $1.68 per gram. I'd say I get a pretty good deal.:joint:

I think everyone should figure out how much everything involved with their grow costs each month, it's good to know.

It'd be about 10 cents a day for me, if you have low electric rates (VT is pretty high compared to the rest of the USA) you might be able to do it for 4 cents a day.

FWIW: I considered purchasing this very fan for use in my setup (smaller version, but same thing from Home Depot). It seemed like the price was right.

They are loud and have much lower CFM than rated on the box.

I would strongly consider something else. I did and I'm happy for it.

Here's the thread that I started for the 4" version of this fan:

lol oh yeah I forgot to mention that. These are cheap fans, and you get what you pay for. Ventilation and odor removal are two extremely important parts of a grow, and not an area you want to skimp on.

These and marine bilge fans show up from time to time. All agree the form factor and price are great. I've never seen anyone come back and say it was a good purchase.
