Cops Thought They Killed the Security Cameras—Then They Ate the Pot

Police officers disabled all but one of the pot dispensary’s cameras. Now they claim it was illegal to record them chowing down on the edibles.
They were expecting this to happen, and they were ready.
The folks at Sky High Collective in downtown Santa Ana had heard that local police had begun aggressively raiding medical marijuana dispensaries like theirs, and that their day was likely coming. They trained their dozen or so employees in what to do if and when it happened—first, look after the safety of their patients, any one of whom could be seriously ill; second, comply with the officers’ orders and don’t say anything beyond telling them their names and birthdays. They had even kept around a patient advocate who volunteered in their lawyer’s office to help handle things if and when it all went down.
Still, when 12 officers charged in on May 26, some of them with their guns drawn and in masks and others with battering rams, it was a shock to employees and especially to the four or five patients there for what some call bud and others medicine. They were there on charges that the dispensary was operating without a proper business license, a misdemeanor, but according to witnesses, they were acting like they were gearing up to take down Tony Montana.

Do what I say, not what I do.

Consume ganja and go to jail
says the man who consumes the ganja he steals from you

Even doctors here are saying that prohibition does more damage than cannabis itself

They say that its better to implement a national health plan with cannabis then just let the market control itself, with criminals and anybody running the show, maybe the docs just want control but I think health before profit profits us in the long term

I remember the original thread about this story they were playing darts and munching down. If I remember correctly homie took that brownie down like a vet too!!!

My question is how is the dispo responsible for the swat team leaving one camera on. They knew they would be filmed as soon as they were there. Sorry but I dont think they even have a case here.

The only thing that could be an issue is that the are undercovers? and maybe that gives them some more rights than the rest of the population.

I think they should all be fired, hypocrites.

Or we should be able to go down to their houses and do the same.

Destroy the house, terrorize the family, steal, check out whats cooking on the stove, drink some beers and poo on the floor.

Those cops did so many things wrong!
Lef is right on the money... Hypocrites.
If the cop just quietly stole the eatable, well he would be a thief and a hypocrite. But to openly steal and medicate on the job with his pears watching him.Well that shit soup is stewing with a whole department of unethical corruption.

I call Collusion.

I feel sorry for those officers, mostly because they probably have a legitimate reason to medicate.... Its a shame they do this shit as a job, theres more important things for them to do.... Yet they are reduced to petty theft and government style bullying...

One angle sees that because cops are supposed to enforce the law they should be held accountable to a higher degree than others because they are supposed to be positive models but still they are human like us from another angle.

I guess it depends on my mindset. Some days I am more compassionate than others.
Should these police be executed ?

Long gone are the days we're you can simply eliminate your adversary without legalities, I am not sure these times have even existed. Maybe a long long time ago.

Over here in the west, everything has to be pc. While in the east, they stone and execute.

Frankly, I think they should bring back death penalty. Prison is no good for people. Its an industry, like the health system. With pharmaceutical companies linked to cancer organizations as well. They thrive on disease.

I think people ahould also be allowed to have a lethal injection (euthanasia) if they want.

Id probably take one some time if I was frustrated with my life and stressors.

It would be a good way to protest. Who knows, maybe youd reincarnate somewhere else with a better life, maybe not.

Is there really not enough opportunities for people in america that they have to resort to crime ?
I know there are the mentally ill, the people who lacked loved/family. Can we not create our own opportunities ? I know, it's hard but I believe with patience and some work, one can get out of the hole. I know I also see it very grim at times and think there are not many opportunities, and that it's mainly all slavery. I'll give it more tries and I will let you know how it goes in a couple of years. I believe there is hope for me to make it in the world.

With diseases and other unforseen events that can happen, when I think about these things and deal with sick people, it makes me content with what I have. I'd like to be able to make it and have enough to survive, ideally be auto-sufficient, but also stockup on food and other stuff like that.
