hey guys just wondering what u think about this. im renting a place with no lease and the only thing that links me to the place is that the energy bill is under my name which is going to change in the near future. My current "billing address" is over at my gf's place and latly ive noticed the 5-0 have been directly across from my place watchin for speeders. i got to thinkin what if hes bored and runs my plates and see that i have a differnt address than the one that i pull into the garage everyday. ya think this could raise any flags or am i just being a paranoid mofo. what do u guys think

I completely understand your paranoia. (Got to be to stay safe these days.)

But I wouldn't worry to much about the traffic cops. As long as your spots not shady with lots of people coming to and fro you wont have any problems from the doughnut eaters.

Shit look at it in a good way. Free security! IMO

paranoia keeps you safe my friend, never feel bad about it.

most LEO do not have the brains/ability to mix a surveilance op with speed traps

Just because you`re Paranoid
Don`t mean they`re not after you.
Think I`d pack it in and move to another location.
If you have moved and haven`t notified of a change of address within 2 months you are commiting a traffic offense.

I like this last advice...nothing like having something against you like this, for suspicion to fuck you over... ... rather get that bit fixed at least ???

Lol, reminds me of a funny story a few weeks back I saw sheriffs, like 3 of them, a few houses down, just standing there talking to eachother. And I am thinking 'HOLY FUCK HOLY FUCK HOLY FUCK HOLY FUCK', for some reason.. so I actually freak out so much I head out the backdoor and take a nice drive around the city out the back way, and come back a few hours later. Well I am stupid, and paranoid. I come back, they are gone, I look up the police report, they came to pickup a neighbor on a warrant.

Either way, the entire time im driving around im shitting my pants thinking 'ok they are in there right now, going through my house, going through my belongings, this is just great'.

And the entire time it was fuckall. and I havent seen one since.

Paranoia keeps you on your toes.

Lol.

I don't think he would do it, but like you said, if he's just bored one day and looks you up...then yeah...

Just don't do anything sudden, as far as trying to detour the cops from yourself. I think the best thing you can do is act completely normal. I would say wave to them in a friendly manner when you pull in, or go chat with them (if you can pull it off).. kind of like 'you appreciate them' enforcing speed violations around your property. but that could lead to a lot of problems if you aren't comfortable with the police. I myself can chat a cop up n down. I remember one time, walking out of a gas station with cigars for blunts and a 4:20 shirt (IV:XX Shirt ;) ) and walking over to a group of people looking up at the sky. The clouds were crazy that day, and what appeared to be a funnel cloud was directly over my friends house where I had previously been. So I just walked up and told em about it, cuz it seemed relevant lol... Anyways, the cop ended up saying something which I still quote today... "I don't trust it (the clouds), I'VE SEEN TWISTER!". Was actually pretty funny :D

I think most street cops just want a little appreciation. Far too many citizens despise the police, but it's only a minority of them that do the things we hate. It's a shitty job and I feel they do deserve respect for the times they are dealing with real problems.

So...if you're going to do anything, just wave every once in awhile. You need to have the outlook of "I appreciate this man keeping my neighborhood safe"... Even if you are one of the people he's trying to keep it safe from lol....

Maybe don't even wave. I think it could go two ways... You wave, he waves back and that's it. Or you wave, he waves back and then runs your plates.

I just don't know man... do whatever you feel draws the least amount of attention to yourself. Maybe just wave if/when you check the mail, so it doesn't look like you previously planned to wave at him. Make it look like a spontaneous event.

It's not illegal for a car to be at or even reside at a house where its not registered. Plain and simple. They cannot even step foot on the property without probable cause and your plates being registered to a PO Box or GFs house is not on of them.

Unless you have warrants.......You have nothing to worry about.

OK......scratch my NAIL advice.............Take em some donuts instead.

hahaha yeah THAT'S how to keep them from lookin' up your plates. just chillax homie. you don't got anything to worry about. he's more interested in filling his quota with petty misdemeanors and probably has no clue he's yards away from a sexy cabinet
smoke a :joint: and relax mang. just don't be one of them speeders lol

Eh, I think it's alright, your plates not matching your address should be the least of your worries. I know people who's address on their license/plates is like 4 hours from where they live, it shouldn't be a problem. Most of the time if a cop is chilling in a neighborhood "looking for speeders" they're just trying to get away from having to do real work so they chill out making it look like they're doing something.

Never heard of a nail causing a blowout before, but hey, I guess it could happen.

About 6 months ago an under cover cop parked right in front of my house other side of street. He was in a plain truck had a dog.I could see his jacket and gun.My street has no thru traffic and he sat there 4/5 hours allso state police drove by which they never do .I was concerned but not worried.first off what was he going to see.I have no traffic at my house.and if he was watching me he wouldnt park in front of my house. He was watching up the block. I just rub my steel balls for luck.Parinoia can drive you nuts.Im careful but not worried.

thats exactly what caused the tire to blow out on my first vehicle. mind you i was doing ~80 mph on the freeway at the time of the blow out and rolled my car.
