Cooling w/central ac

Would I be opening a can of worms if i tap into the central ac duct and run a line to my grow boxmin y garage? Maybe even putting a duct booster fan where the line drops into the growbox?
The thermostat for the central ac is in my living room so Im thinking that as long as I keep the inside of my house cool the growbox should stay cool.
How about when the ac is off (like on cool days), will a duct booster fan be enough to suck air through the ac duct and ultimately from the intake in my living room? Im desperate here guys, its ****in 100+ outside and my blueberry just about stopped growing :badday:

that should work I added a new desk fan and used a y connector and brought cool ac air in the box and exhausted back in the garage temps now are at a stable 82 deg with 102 outside..Also vent the garage some built up heat in there.

running a 400 watt in a c-22 dayton 265 carbon scrubber and 1 duct booster fan at the end of the vent coming off the ac duct.

Im running a 600w through a cooltube in a 5x6 1/2 x8 box built into the corner of my garage, very similar to your setup (i think).

I am planning on trying this too. Going to add a duct into my closet. I think it should work just fine. Why wouldn't it?

I got up in my attic to where the air handler is there is the bonit{thats the box that all the ducts come out of}.Got a 6" duct ring and what we call duct butter{sealent}cut the hole and installed the duct ring.Run 25' of insulated duct to the closet and installed a 6"x10" vent in the cealing. My closet would get to hot about 100 and now it stays 75 to 77 degree. You can do the same thing but dont install the vent in the cealing.Run the duct to the cab and use another duct ring on the top of the cab.As long as you are not running over 30' of duct to the cab you will be all right.Use a 8"or 10" fan in the cab to move the air around.put two dark room vents in the bottom of the cab to exhaust air and to keep the air moving down and out.You said you are using a cool tube light,Just exhaust the air out of the roon your cab is in.When the weather cools down and the room your cab is in will be cool enough that your temps in the cab should be alright. Here's a pix of the dark room vents I made. One is a cut away view of the end.Sorry I can not post pixs here,I dont know why.PEACE
