I remember seeing an ad on tv for a unit that went around unit outside house .... it would basically tye into hose and shoot cool water on fan has anyone aware of or heard of something like this????
I think what you are talking about is not an a/c unit but a large water cooled fan. If it is the fan it sprays a fine mist of water into the fan which brings down the areas temperature about 10-15 degrees. Not good for growing indoors but great to keep my lizards cooled down.
I did some research and it seems to be a disputed theory. Some say the cooling affect drops head pressure in the compressor, etc. If I remember right, there is a link in that thread to an even more heated discussion
I never installed it. Maybe this summer I will try
sounds like dads old 'swamp cooler' it was a fan with the hose hooked up to a radiator like thing behind it, it increases humidity a bunch. but does cool. maybe not so good for your grow room. jc
