id use two four tons.if one breaks down at least you would have a little back up.6 wouldn't be enough cooling for me.

never seen a 7 ton unit.lots of 8-10.

I think 7.5 is prob more common than 7's

Installed a couple 7's recently @ a 12,000 sf house we're building, fucking massive units.

Don't plan on havin my shit break down, but ur right, need some redundancy. Prob just going double 5s, one for the room & the other hitting shop space; handlers in tandem so the trunk can be swapped in case of failure on room unit.

I was looking at the excel web site.the 4 ton uses a little over 20 amps,but the 5 ton uses over 30 amps.saving 10 amps or 2 extra 1000 watt lights.

if one went south on me id just turn some lights off till I get it fixed.
