cool tubes vs air cooled hoods

im thinking of buying a 6'' cool tube reflector appr 100$. will i need to buy a squirrel fan also and would this be better than a standard air coll reflector that does need a fan. thanks

Cooltubes need exhuast fans just like an A/C hood does.

I would go the route of the cool tube IMO they are better.

i have a 600 watt bulb about six inches from a few of my tops...no cool tube no heat shield just good ventilation..peace
